Help, sprayed plant with a neem oil mix, yellow leaves.

no i wouldn't worry at all. the only time i've realy seen people hurt a plant with neem is by watering with it. oil + roots = bad. I personaly dont pull off dying leaves till they are dried up. plants take nutes from them to new growth.
That's funny, a thread the other day, we almost got into a discussion about that, a guy used dish soap as suggested, like 1 Tbsp/ gal, when 1 tsp/ gal was suggested, but I usually just use a couple drops, if I have to use at all, since it's just a surfactant, but a guy thought I was aiming at him when I asked the OP did he spray or water with it.
IDK, I was just thinking it might smother the roots at that ratio.

Someone should start a thread about spraying neem in this heat. Neem and the hort oil I spray (E3) shouldnt be sprayed in heat over 90F and even in slightly lower temps needs to be diluted from 2 or 3% to 1% in high temps. Also make sure to shake the bottle well before using it. Oil will burn. I'm seeing a lot of threads where ppl have beautiful plants one day and the whole plant wilts after spraying because of the high heat. Here's a little bit of info on petroleum products used on plants. It's worth the read...

thanks for the info. That's something i havn't seen before. only have seen the burn marks from spraying under the lights, or wilting from root drench.

Dannyboy, I'm certain you've read what's going on here. I didn't spray in that amount of heat, I'm not sure if that's where you are directing your answer towards. And also I did shake the bottle before as well as put it into hot water, shook it and let it cool and shook it again before the spray...am I wrong here? Please let me know.

He's not saying you DID, he's just giving a head's up so you DON'T, and make it worse.;-)

Alright, so I added 1/2 tsp of organic roots buddah grow to every half gallon of water (didn't have a gallon container). The amount I should be using is 1 2/3-2 tbls to every gallon of water, but I wanted to ease into it. I'll be sure to let you know how it reacts to the new feeding pattern. :bigjoint:

Quick update, I've increased my feeding to a whole Tsp. The leaves that had been yellow(ing) have either fallen off or are on their way. Aside from that, there hasn't been any new signs yellowing .
