Alright, so something was clearly having a feast on my plants. I took the action by making a mix of neem oil, water, and dish soap. After about a day the leaves starting turning yellow from the bottom up. I'm not sure what happen, however the next couple of days after I made the mix we had flash floods and it was still in the 90's outside and very humid (I'm outdoors). I'm lost, my first grow they were doing great. What cam I do to make this stop, I'm concerned that the past couple months is going to end in a tragedy. Anyone with an idea of what I did wrong here or how I can bounce back would be deeply appreciated. By the way I did 16 oz. of water, 1/2 tsp neem and 1/4 tsp dish soap and applied to the tops and bottoms of the ladies leaves.

Same here, something was eating mine but I could never see what was doing it. I mixed a tsp of neem oil concentrate w/ 16oz of water and sprayed it on heavily, just before lights out. It never did anything to the leaves. Bugs quit though, after a couple of more localized and lighter treatments.
Pictures would help.

I'll see if I can't get some photos on here. Do you still need to have a certain amount of post before you can add photos though? And yeah, I sprayed mine just after sundown. They looked fine the next day, but the day after not so much. It seems to be getting worse as the days pass too. As for the neem oil, it was from a health food store, maybe that?

I use it (70% Neem Oil) every 2 weeks and never had a problem. I mix 1 oz. to a gallon. I don't do the dish soap thing though...

So what do you suppose the problem is. This happen out of blue, they had been doing great! I heard maybe a nitrogen deficiency, however it happen just after I sprayed them down. I'm clueless. I haven't added nutes to them yet due to the fact they were clones and had enough to last about a month. I need to add nutes now though, but afraid to until I find out what's wrong with them.

Have you looked for bugs yet?
How old are the plants, have you been feeding, and if so, how much?
No, you should be able to post pics right away.
They will be of great help in a diagnosis, but it sounds like a N def. with no additional info.

IMG_5673.jpgIMG_5672.jpgIMG_5671.jpg Sorry for the sideways photo, I just went out to snap these real quick and didn't rotate it. Hope someone knows what I should do. I have one other as well, but it so bushy you can't even see the yellow hiding underneath.

bakatare, no I have not fed them yet. As I stated above, they were clones that had enough nutes to last about a month. On that note I was so eager to start I planted two in MG soil. They other two were planted in 70% organic black gold soil and 30% perlite. So I don't want to feed the MG gals (time lapse fertz) the other two I do need to start their feeding though. I just want to know what's going on before I proceed and possibly make things worse.

In addition, my apology for not answer the second half of that. The two in the MG I planted may 7th, the other two about a month in.

It looks like an n def to me. it's eating it's lower leaves to feed new growth.
Agreed.
I use MG moisture control, and even pop my beans in it, and I usually start feeding about day 22-25 from sprout, so you should be fine to start feeding.
From your pics, I would say yes, you need to feed, and also the few yellow leaves down low and inside, the yellowing is normal.
My Purple Kush outside is giving me 2 or 3 leaves every couple days that either drop off, or I gently brush against to test if they are ready to fall off, then I pick them up from the soil.
It's been a little over a month outside now, but she's pretty well thinned out down inside now.
Here she is 3 days after flip.

neem should work ok on aphids, i'd just feed them and keep an eye on it. If the neem isn't getting rid of them pyrethum spray works realy well. hth
the damadge you can get is usualy when ppl spray under bright light. it looks like lots of little burn marks on the leaves closest to the light.

And that was my first thought, but like I said this happen to them just after spraying them with the neem mix...
Just a coincidence man, you'd really have to overdo it with soap or Neem to damage, but I don't see how it could cause yellowing.
Remember though, I know you said did after sunset, and also good you did undersides of leaves (they actually supposed to absorb more from underside than tops), you did right time and right way.

Thanks for your insight guys, I guess I'll start adding the nutes then. Just odd that it happen right after I sprayed them down. And bakatare, I'm low stress training mine, which is why they aren't as tall as they would normally be. Your plants look excellent though, keep up the good work! 1itsme, I have them outside and made my application just after sundown. Oil and sun...not a good combination. Overall should I be worried?

no i wouldn't worry at all. the only time i've realy seen people hurt a plant with neem is by watering with it. oil + roots = bad. I personaly dont pull off dying leaves till they are dried up. plants take nutes from them to new growth.

Thanks bakatare. Should I trim them off or just let them die off?
Watering, and ESPECIALLY foliar spraying is always better in lower lighting conditions.
I just wait until I can either brush against the leaf gently and knock it off or it falls off by itself.
When your plant is done with them, or can no longer use them, she will shed them.
