hello every one im new here, just lookin for some helpfull advice/tips .im doing an all organic soil grow in 2 4x4x7 ft tall (16 sq ft) grow tents under fan cooled 1000w hps each. i have a seperate area for veg under blue 54w t5's. how many plants should i put for maximum yield in a 4x4 tray? i dont have a ton of head room to grow em tall so i figured more plants would be better and just keep em smaller. i was thinking either 9 , 12 , or 16 plants per 4x4 tray leaning towards 16 with topping. i just want the most out of the yield without over restricting the roots. im using general organics nutrients and planning on growing either indica or indica sativa cross. what path would you guys take in this situation. i know i should expect between .5 and 1g per watt but i figure # of plants, plant height and pruning techniques should come into play for maximizing yield. thanks ahead of time for any help. very much appreciated.

ude have a hard time doing 12 under one light. not saying it cant be done but ide imagine there'd be some wispey buds involved. 7ft isnt that much to work with. almost a foot for ur pot. almost 2 feet for light and distance. youve only got 4 ft to work with (not that thats not plenty). if ur growin 4 footers ide stick with 8. goodtimez bro and goodluck.

my lumens per plant at 12 plants would be around 8,333 and i know 3000 is the recommended minimum and 10000 and above is ideal. at 16 plants i would still have 6250 lumens per plant in a 16 sq ft area (4x4) which should still be enough lumens to pull nice buds im mainly concerned about only having 2gal pots for 16 plants or 3 gal pots for 12 and if thats gonna bind my roots.if i do 12 or 16 plants and harvest between 2 and 4 ft with topping will the binding even be a problem? has any one done a similar set up?? thanks alot bud for your thoughts. appreciated
