Help Please

77207880-A06E-43E1-BB3E-AA6C959371E6.jpeg These are WW at 10 days old. My question is when to water the pot? I presoaked the 5 gallon pots and germinated seeds right in pot. The only water they’ve had since is misting top soil with a spray bottle. The pots felt pretty dry today so I gave them one solo cup of water around plant and one around outside edges.
Lighting is 24 hours
RH is 50%
Temp is 77-81
2 x 600 HID
2 x T-5 2 foot
9’x4’ tent
2 x 16” oscillating fan
2 x 6” in line fan (one on cool tubes one on carbon filter.
When should I water whole pot with a little run off? The soil was dry dry all the way up my finger when I stuck it in. Still slightly moist probably bottom 2”. Any advice would be great! Also when should I turn the lights all the way up? On 75% light now.
 
You don't need to soak the whole 5gal yet, really you shouldn't even start them in 5gal cuz it can be a bit tricky watering when they are young like yours. You don't want to soak all the soil and have problems down the road from over watering. I'd wait till they are vegging to turn your light up 100%

Everyone says not to transplant them. Hence the 5 gallon pots

Who is everyone? Lol and starting them in small pots and transplanting them once or twice to bigger pots is the norm around here man. Don't know who you are talking to. Unless your plants are autos, which you mentioned nothing of in your post.

Sorry, my fault. Their white widow xtreme autoflower. In reading about them got the impression they don’t like a transplant.

It's all good lol wasn't trying to be a dick or anything, just tryin to help with the info you gave. But yea autos should not be transplanted, so your on the right track, I just wouldnt soak all your soil during watering until your root system is bigger for sure lol I've never started in a 5gal so not sure exactly when you should water to runoff. An auto expert might chime in, but just watch her and she will tell you if she needs more or less :bigjoint:

Thanks dude. Appreciate you taking the time to answer. Just tired of buying shitty over priced weed. So said fuck it and invested in my own grow.
 
Hello, I'm a newbie... is it possible for me to grow two plants under one rectangle 300w led, about 12" long??? I don't know if this is a dumb question or not

I’m new also but my understanding is with led it depends on the color of the diodes like you need blue for veg. And red for flower. A lot of the leds now days have both and also include IR and UV diodes

No better yet ill say this. There are a lot of factors that contribute to your soil/ mix's moisture content:
The size of the plant,
The size of the pot,
The make up of the mix,
The humidity,
The temperature,
The type of pot,
Etc.

So there is no one size fits all solution. But I'll explain the mechanics and make a suggestion. Plants need co2 and oxygen. Above ground needs co2 below needs oxygen. As the water drains it pulls down oxygen. More oxygen more roots. More roots bigger plants. If the soil is too went then the roots slowly sufficate. Too dry and they dry out.
Water the pot. And water every time you touch the soil and it feels like the to is starting to dry out. If it takes more then 2 days for this to happen then put more holes into your pot. If it takes more than a minute or two to see runoff after you've wet the dirt the initial time then put more holes in the pot. And you should be fine.

I prefer to start seeds in a 5. Not only is it best to not have to transplant when they're small but I want them to get as close as they can to showing sex without their taproot bottoming out.You do have to learn the ins and outs of how to water them when they're small and when to make the transition to watering the full pot.

Look into the difference between shallow frequent watering and deep infrequent waterings. It's really an outdoor in ground thing but the same principles apply.
