ok so i just gave my buddy some clones and He has never grown before either. he is going to go pick up some supplies and need to know what to get... soil, nutes, etc.

Get a pen and paper and write this down ....
growing soil . Pots . perlite , vermiculite , Ph tester , PH up & PH down , Nutriants , Hps light . Myler sheeting , Ocilating Fan . Extractor Fan , Vegging light , ie , florecent strip lights , or Cfl`s but ive never used them , So once your mate has spent £150 thats without the price of the hps , With a hps light your talking another £80-£100 you`ll be good to grow . Happy shopping .
By the way you`ll also need a temp/humidity reader , they can be cheep like £5, I paid £45 for mine but it tells me the lot and its also wireless so i have one part in grow room and the main reader anywere i want so i dont even have to go to my grow room to check temp i can be just anywere within 100mtr and get a reading of my room temps and humidity . Im pritty smashed @ the min and rambling on while listening to Eastenders . Go and spend some cash and grow well or dont grow @all . ROTFLMTO ,

hey irish staff i wont bother correcting your spelling because you admitted to being smashed
that is pretty much a shoping list of what one might need; but i didnt want to spoon feed this newb. it would be much more rewarding for him if he figured out (a) what hes asking, (b) where to fing answers on his own and (c) that we cant just spit out answers without an apropriate question

Research is all you need to do.
But like irish has said you need the basic list.
I first started out my journey of growing with a few things
24w 6400K T5
600w HPS dual spectrum
some pots
some seeds
and some coco with grow nutes.
Unfortunately i didnt research first and only had a germ rate of 2 out of 7 lol
But i did do alot of research and my research still continues now.

Dude It's really easy if your growing outdoors. Just get a pot as big as possible, 15+ gallons if you can. Fill it with a soil medium such as 1/2 potting soil, 1/4 perlite, 1/4 vermiculite. Get some Base nutrients, organics will make your weed taste the best, any brand will do so long as you get Grow and Bloom formula, you can use other nutrients such as a bloom booster like Big Bud, Bud Candy, Humic acid, Mycorrhiaze, Molasses, and plenty of others just ask someone at a hydroponic store. This is my line up

I dont understand why it was that hard for other people either. i thought i was the beginner and the reason i couldnt put together a list is because im not the one that put together my grow room... as i have said before my man does all of that stuff!!!

NoNo i didnt give him cuttings from that plant. my man made some clones previous to that incident THANK GOD...
AND JUST TO LET EVERYONE NO.....
MY MAN IS THE ONE DOING THE ACTUALLY GROWING.... all i do is the research. so i applogize if some of my questions seem a little bit uneducated but i dont do the HANDS ON....
