Long story short. I'm 20 days from harvest in my RDWC, I did res change 3 days ago at 740ppm, as expected it dropped to 675ppm the following day (I'm still looking for the sweet spot) I added Plain RO water to bring back up water level as a result ppm dropped to 550. Well today when taking measurements the ppm rose to 575ppm, and this makes no sense to me what so ever. ADVICE PLEASE!!!

I run dwc and for what I have found that works for me is add to res @ 1/3 strength at what you are feeding at. That is how I do it and it stays pretty close. May not work for you.

If im adding 1/3 strength, wouldn't that just lower the total ppm?

When I do what I said my ec stays within a 50 point range. But if ec does spike just add water to res. . But I do change res every 7- 10 days. I also run GH trio with a armor si added.

I always just added the same strength or plain water and then adjusted pH levels. When my plants got big in RDWC they were drinking and eating so much I had to go same strength that were in the res to keep ppms at level I wanted.
