Hello RUI community,

I'm just wondering if you guys think this seedling is suffering from heat stress. Leaves are all green, the true leaves look shrivelled and short.
The new set of leaves growing are also green(lighter green) but half of the leaves are curled down. On the Cotyledons one of the tips was burnt :(. I believe this is due to heat stress but I'm not 100% sure so I need your help!

Thank you once again for your help!! All comments and opinions welcome :D

Hip tip: if you post about heat stress, include your temperature.

Doesn't look like heat stress, probably overfed, wrong ph, or unrinsed coco.
Temp 28 celcius, humidity 55%.. I know this is not ideal conditions and I am working on it as we speak.

The seedling is definitely not overwatered, not sure what you mean by "over fed" as I'm not using nutes as the seedling is only a few days old. pH level is around 6.4-6.6 which I thought was okay :/

The grow medium is tomato kits with "jiffy pads" that I soak in water until they expand and turn to moist soil.

Yeah, sounds like your conditions and routine are good, but they do indeed look damaged. I can only think of a couple of things, one being genetics, sometimes you get some mutants from bad or unstable lines, but what might be more likely is a possible disease. It's really hard to tell from the pics but there does appear to be some discolored areas on the leaves that could indicate a possible leaf fungus, and at 55% the humidity is right for it. Have you noticed any gnats flying around (tiny little buggers, so you really gotta look for them)? Try bringing your humidity down to 40% and run a small oscillating fan across them. What's the strain, btw? Hope that helps, good luck mate ;?D

I haven't noticed any flys/insects of yet. I currently have a fan on them :). This one is Bomba Thc auto-flowering (fem). Thank you for your help :D good luck to you also :)!!

It's genetics! I have 2 blue widows that have some weird looking leafs as well a bit like yours but rounded one's but they're next to a few other strains that are perfect, so it's making me think it's just genetics lol

Np, and those new leaves are looking a lot better, could be the transplant and improved drainage is helping ;?D
New leaves are looking a bit better, which makes me happy :). I actually haven't transplanted them yet but I did make a few more holes in the pots. So the drainage is better :D thank you!

I am quite convinced now that it's genetics, because it does seem to have some deformation. I also have a Royal Queen auto (fem) next to this one which is perfectly fine IMO. :D ty for the comment!
