aww man FDD you changed your avatar, I liked yours the best lol. If you arent planning on using it again, you mind if I use it? I thought it was awesome. Keiser your plant looks nice man lol, its awesome when it grows that tall, and you have enough room to support it. Have you been using molasses at all? It dosnt look like it but maybe you have, if not then I would reccommend doing this. 1tbs per gallon of water. After a week boost it up to 2tbs, give you more bud, and more crystals on the bud : )

No I have not been using molasses... Are there different varieties?? Or can you reccomend the best one and place to purchase?? I was planning on leaving in the current nutes for maybe 1 more week, then I was planning on switching to plain water for the last 2 weeks of flowering.. Should I maybe flower longer? I am in day 50 of flowering... will adding the molasses now still help??? I would like to maximize thopse crystals though!! I started added kool bloom 2 weeks ago, and epsom salts about 1 month ago... I heard they were both good...


And yes Cali I have 3 fans on them... 2 small 4in blowing up from below and a large osclating fan on top of some buckets covering the tops... And they are under an AC vent...

You dont have to flower longer, that wouldnt be good for your bud man. I hope you have a scope now to see your trichos. If not you really should get one man, im cheap but I still bought one, only way to know the perfect time to harvest. You can get them at radioshack for about 10$. Hopefully you konw what they should look like when you should harvest. if not check the faqs, or go to youtube, and type in How to judge cannabis, look at jorges, the white guy with dreads, that video helps alot.

But anyways, the best kind of molasses to use is Unsulphered Molasses. And you can use it right until you harvest, becuase its not a chemical, just give the weed a sweet taste : ). Dont use it every watering tho, gotta give your plants time to use it. Every other watering will be fine, maybe every 3rd. But you will see results within a couple days. But deff get a 10x or more scope, and dont flower longer.

You should get alot more crystals though, like an amazingly amount more. PLus your bud will swell up nice and big : )

Get it asap though, and post some new pictures of the improvement, take a before and after picture of the bud to show the world!!

Yes I already purchased the scope from Radio Shack... I got it the first time I read about it on this board... And I have been reading up on the harvest time... and what to look for... I just don't know when to just give them plain water for the last 2 weeks... or how to tell there are only 2 weeks left... That was something I read as well....

On maybe ridiculous question though... Where do you buy Molasses??? It may be common knowledge, but I really have no idea!

You can get molassas at the grocery store. Check the where they have the sugar and syrup...it should be close to them.

cool thanks castewalpha... That seemed logical, but I thought I would ask before I look like a fool at the store asking where the Molasses is, and you have to get it at a speciality store or something... But I might be too late for looking like a fool!!

well usually when the trichosomes start to turn cloudy, you have two weeks till they turn amber. If you feel that they are getting close, just cut the nutes, better to be safe then sorry, and some chemicals and all that man, at worst you will sacrafice maybe a couple grams, if that, of for some nice, smooth tasting bud. Yeh grocery stores should have molasses, also dollar store near my house had it as well. Good luck with your grow : )

cool... Thanks jack... They are cloudy, and filling in nice, so I just got the water ready to change it out tomorrow. And then I will only add the molasses, and see how that works! I almost have to do it tomorrow. I have to go out of town 2 weeks from tomorrow, so I am hoping that I can harvest before I leave... Any thoughts on harvesting early or late?? Which is better if I absolutely have to? Or should I wait and see? I was also thinking about starting a thread on this to get some advice... Then I will have to make sure I hang the plants properly so I can leave them for a week... But I'm also worried about mold... That would really suck.. So I may have to let someone in on this grow, and have them check up on it... I have put too much into this to let it fall apart at the end!

Hey Jack,

Well I added the molasses today, and changed on the water one last time cutting all the nutes. I actually think I am a little late. Some have already changed amber... And the buds are sticky as hell! Here are some before pics, and I'll keep an update on how the Molasses helps...

2 more weeks. please. they are starting to look really good. i see a lot of white hairs and new growth. i get cloudy trichromes all throughout flower. it can get tricky. watch the calyx. they will swell and poke straight out. 2 more weeks......please.

cool, thanks for the advice. I will wait the 2 weeks.. Today was the first day I got to really take a good look at them, and they did look good! I can't believe the results I am getting for my first grow...

Help! I think I added too much molasses... I put in 7 tbs a 1 1/2 weeks ago, and then I added another 8 tbs 3 days ago... now my leaves are yellow and black on the tips on the upper branches... some are dying too on the lower branches... They were looking great, but I am afraid I messed them up now... I emptied 1/2 my tank and filled with fresh water... Also the water was bubbling from the molasses, and slimy... it that normal?? And finally I also used baking soda to raise my PH, which I read was ok...

I still have 2 weeks... after doing some more research on the trics, I saw that I still have some time to go... If this incident dosen't kill me...

Well I think they will be ok... I cleaned everything really good, and washed out the roots... I will be out of town for a while, but I will post an update when I get back..

I have no idea what I was thinking.... I even thought it was too much... But I did have it in there for 1 1/2 weeks, and I do have some nice fat buds!! This is my first grow so I can't say what difference it made, but I am happy with what I got... I just smoked some that I have been drying for a few days, and it is great... But the trics are still clear/cloudy... so I think at least another 10 days... Hopefully now that they have fresh clean water they will take off again, and finish up nice.. I will let you know how they are doing when I get back in town...
