My 2nd attempt growing.....Vegged for 2 weeks and 12/12 at start of 3rd week. Been in 12/12 for 1 week now and I started noticing my plants looking fatigued, almost like overwatered or heat fatigue.

So I start looking closer and I can see by eye, bugs in the soil!! So I get my camera and take some close ups, sure enough....they sort of look like spider mites but I am not sure. They are in the soil and seen them crawling up the stem of the plant. Checked the leaves but cant see any webs or any of the bugs themselves.

Any advice? They are killing my plants.....hate to start over but is there really any way to beat this?

You can see 2 of them here, 1 is much healthier then the other but the bugs are in its soil as well......

They are not even under the leaves from what I see....not 100% sure they are spider mites but they sure look like it. Everything I have read says spider mites go under the leaves but these guys are in the soil running around!!

Pyrethrum soap, Or Diatmatious earth End or their life. Both are safe for humans just not bugs organic and all that..Thay are not spider mites.

The pesticides should have killed them, but some pests like
the powder bugs lay their eggs inside the stems and seem to always
come back. If you can't get rid of bugs like this then you may have to
toss your genetics away and get new ones. For breeders this can be a
difficult task. A long term project can be terminated by a few bugs
wreaking havoc in the grow room. Breeders should pay strict attention
to keeping their grow rooms clean at all times. And remember - Never
take anything that has been outside into your grow room.

Yea checking out aphids now...looks like thats it. Everything I read says can't eliminate them, just try to control....only 4 weeks in debating if I should scrap and steralize everything, get new medium and start over....>.<

Well I have been spraying plants/soil with Ivorysoap/veg oil/water once a day and also 3-1 safe pesticide spray. Also hung up the no pest strips today....so far I have continued to see the bugs in the soil and the lower leaves continue to die....if I don't wipe them out by this weekend I am going to start over I think.

A solution of Neem would cover and protect plants from some of the attack. Won't kill them mostlikely.... But will keep them from killing your crop if you intend to keep it.

Geez...
That's a tough one for sure, but what do you do when there's a limb, finger, or toe that no longer sustains life & function? You either take it off, or put it to rest & out of it's misery, right ? Friggin' Aphids ain't no joke, because there's little you can do, to reverse the damages done, or the eggs that they lay down ! Once commited It's hard to pull the plug, but as an end result, what's your yield going to be ? Hummmmm....... what a quandry ! I vegg for 12 weeks and I'd be damned if I'd give 'em up to them Lil' F&*%#ers without a fight, but then again my "Girls" are 28" tall, and 32" in girth, and in week 11 ready to go nite-nite for a dose of 12/12. Best of luck to those who get them " Lil' Bastards". Buggs Is A Bee-Oooh-T-Oootch !!!
