Help picking a strain....

I need help picking a strain.... I am new to growing, and dont really know some good seed banks or anything... Im looking for 15-30 seeds, and i have found a few strains that look great! Carmellicious from amsterdammarijuanaseeds.com but i heard they rip people off. I also like the purple strains. I was looking for grandaddy purp, but i cant find a single seed on the net... anyone know of a seedbank that carries them? Also the blue strains. If someone could help me pick a reliable seedbank, and high yielding strain i would really appreciate it. I dont want to spend $153.00 on 10 fem seeds like on some sites... thats just ridiculous... but any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

if you want good seeds that will pop and give you powerful, smelly(in a good, grapey way) and purple genetics buy this-----> Plushberry or this -----> Qrazy train or Sannies Killing fields----> Killing fields FEM seeds

Plush berry and everything tga is not feminised, just regular seeds, less likely to go herm, sannies doesnt have bad rep for herms so both are good places to start, or you can buy 40 regular seeds from Nirvana from a larger range of strains, they are good too as long as you order their regular genetics, like most bigger breeders they have herm issues (barney's farm, Greenhouse seeds, Nirvana, reserva privada)

BCSeedKing.com is a good seedbank. Their seed prices are good. They range from $50 for 15 seeds but you can get 25 seeds for $75. They also have a small selection on Fem seeds.

Are you saying that feminised seeds have a tendency to go herm??? And i really wanted to stick to photoperiod over auto. I heard you get a bigger yield from photoperiod because you can veg them to your liking. Is this true??? Should I always buy regular seeds?? Its just a shame to have 30 regular seeds and have to throw out 15-20 of them when you start flowering.

Yes there's a chance of Fem seeds turning out to be hermi. If you have the right kind of light and such regular strains over auto can yield alot more. Regular seeds can be good because even if you get males you can put them in a different room and wait till their flowers are about to pop and collect the flowers. let them dry and open them up carefully and you can use the paintbrush method to a female but make sure you do it where there's no fans going or other females to prevent them from getting pollinated and you can get a batch of seeds to grow with unless you plan on keeping a mom plant to clone and flower the clones and every now and then replace the mom with a clone of her.

Im not sure i quite understand... i apologize, Im really new to this... but are you saying that males produce flowers also??? I thought you could only smoke the females?? If the males are only good for thier seeds, your saying use the paintbrush method to a female and that will create feminised seeds?? If that doesnt make them feminised and just makes seeds, why wouldnt you be able to just use the seeds that come from the male?? Or do the males just make pollen sacks that you hit the females with and the females are the ones that makes just regular seeds?? How common is it that females herm up? Im using a 4'x4'x7' grow tent, 20 lb cO2 tank, 4'x4' hydro table, a shit ton of different brands of nutrients, a 1000w MH and 1000w HPS (with a Hortilux bulb). Sorry this is so long and confusing... Thats why I'm here though... So people can help me out! And your overall opinion is to get regular seeds, not feminised?? Wouldnt regular seeds have the same chance or turning hermi?? Hope you can help me out!!

Male plants produce flower pods that has pollen in them. Females produce the buds that you smoke

No Makes produce pollen that is used to pollinate female plants to make the female plants to produce seeds. Collecting the pollen sacks from the makes before they pop in a class jar and let it dry. Open them up carefully in the glass jar away from your flowering area and use a paint brush method to pollinate the female plant(s) but the female plants can't be in the flowering area because the pollen from them can come off and pollinate your other females around it.

Feminized seed production is a whole new level of things and is hard to do. Most people perfer to make regular seeds and not ferminised seeds.

That really depends on how they are grown because light stress and such can make a female plant hermi.

If you make a IBL you can have the perfect strain of that kind but also you can breed your own strain. Yes and no. I've noticed that fem seeds have a higher chance of going hermi because of the method that is used to turn a female plant hermy to make fem seeds with. If you are doing a seed to harvest method a seed harvest would be recommended so that you don't have to order seeds all the time and a single female plant can produce hundreds and possibly thousands of seeds depending how big the female is and how much of it you chose to pollinate.

Make sure your MH lights is at least 4200k and your HPS lights are 2700k, 1900k should be fine to.

dude this question is wayyyy too broad, your gonna get growers from all over the world saying mine is the best, mine grows the fastest, mine is this mine is that, ETC., u have to just experiement and see what you like...ive seen seedbanks ahve one strain and someone grew it (with pics) and the same strain, different seedbank been grown from another guy on here (with pics) and they are nothing alike... personally i would look at the recent high time cannabis cup winners and just buy them, i purchased some super lemon haze and a few other seeds from attitude and single seed centre and both popped, its up to the grower to do the rest...make sure u have enough room heighthwise and you can grow anything you want...

I like to do alot of research and learn as much as possible because if someone needs help I can help them. I broke it up to make it easier to understand what I am answering to.

The Blue Venom looks GREAT!! Im probably gonna grab some bubblegummer also... looks really nice! but hows the yield for the blue venom?? Is the plant beginner friendly? Is it forgiving with minor mistakes made by a rookie???
