Hey all!
I have a question maybe someone can help me out with.
I recently picked up 2 80mm pc fans for the grow box, i read the tutorial on how to hook them um, but am a bit confused with something.

On the box of the fans, it states the power output is 1.2watts

on the fan itself, its showing me .10amps
The ac adapter i have shows the following.

imput-120v ac 60hz 70ma
output-12v dc 300ma

does this mean the fans together will pull .20 amps or 200 ma?? will i be safe to use this adapter with the fans? i do not want a fire or to ruin the fans! any help is appreciated and I will give rep!

the adapter will work for one fan fine.
with two it might get a lil warm

If you just try it and keep an eye on how warm it gets you'll know if it's ok or not in the first hour of use.

By the specs you are fine actually you don't need more overkill. I bet it never gets any warmer than normal.

PC fans like those are not a heavy load, if you give them less power than they are rated for all they do is run slower.

Ok so if i want peace of mind and run the fans at full potential without any hazards or worries would 500ma-600ma be sufficient?

You have a 300ma supply and a 200ma draw... You can buy a 500amp supply if you like, it's not going to make a difference.
