good rule of thumb is to put your hand at the top of your plant and if it makes your hand uncomfortable the lights are too close

I keep my ferts at 1/6 per gallon as what the label recommends for dirt. I run a five day shift and the first day I run straight water at ph 7. I balance and add the ferts on day two. Top up the res daily with balanced water. Check the res first before balancing and adding water. I'm happy with 5.5-6.3ph throughout the five day period. The spent water goes to my veg. Are you using only an exhaust fan for venting? If so you''ll have to compliment it with equal intake fans. Since my source water is high in ph I use domolite lime to bring it down. It is best to figure out your ferts and stuff with scales than to try to guess it with a spoon or by eye. I use 3, 15 minute start to finish watering cycles daily.

Okay, a few pointers:
1. Invest in an inexpensive digital Temp/Hygrometer for your grow room. I like the temp. at the tops of my plants to be around 78.5 degrees F. Your plants are showing symptoms of too much heat from the lights.
2. Watch your nutrients!!! Do not over do it. With Hydro, I like to use GH products and I use about half the recommended dosages. However, do your research and develop a strategy that works best for you.
3. Invest in a carbon filter and induct fan. They range in price but will keep the temps cooler and the odor down.
This is normal. For example, I start with perfect H2O (RO or distilled) I find that as the days pass my pH increases. Therefore, I flush 80% of my H20 and replace it with new H2O. I do this 2 times a month and use pH down as needed. Again do your research and evaluate what works best for your plants.

I keep my res room temp at 69 degrees F. Keep your res temps between 65-69 degrees, not warm but too cold for a bath. Using vent tubing channel canopy air under the table. Use a main canopy fan and smaller fans that stay on even after the lights go out to maintain even temps throughout the room and other advantages also. It is ok to have the larger radial canopy fan to come on and go off with the lights.

This is another great tip. You do not want your H2O in the res. too warm or too cold. Room temp. works perfect.

theres your problem.your ph is too high and you have nute lockout prob trace elements. you cant let it fluctuate like that,try to keep it at 5.5 to 6 .

I suspect ph....I had a similar prob with a mother i am keeping......I would put an airstone in the res, and add h202 often, along with frequent res changes and cleanings.....The ph may be going up due to organic matter decomposing.....Stay on top of the ph for awhile...things will get better

also thats far too close 7 inches, try 3 feet ,its a powerful light.
Thanks a ton guys I moved my 600w up to about 20 inches from the plants. I also brought down my ppms down from 850 to about a 400ppm. I need to get a thermometer for my res though as I have no idea what the actual temp of the water is. My babies thanks you guys for all the help.
