Hey all, I'm pretty sure this isn't the right forum, but I couldn't find a better one to post this. The deal is I am going to my honeymoon in a month to Jamaica and want to bring some of the good stuff back, but I'm not stupid enough to even try to on a plane. What we want to do is bake what pot we don't smoke into brownies and then mail a package with brownies and other non-suspicious stuff (other food, maybe?) back to the states. Does anyone know if this works??? or how to do it? If I don't get any positive confirmations on this we wont try it. But really.....we want to....alot...

there are some restrictions on shipping food out of the country so you might want to look into that first...

I'd imagine that as long as you don't have issues with customs not allowing food to enter the country, then everything should be just fine..... they are not going to be thinking your brownies are filled with pot.

haha, yeah I know SOMEONE has to try it, I just assumed someone had already...but does anyone know anything about mailing pot brownies into the states at all? I make my brownies out of cannabutter, which I try to get all of the plant material filtered out of anyway...can dogs smell pot brownies? I guess thats really my question. Since its my honeymoon I don't think that we'll be pioneering any new ways to sneak stuff into america though. seems a little risky. But what I might do is find a friend or someone who would be willing to receive a large batch of brownies (or cookies, maybe) from Jamaica in the mail...since I couldn't be caught that way at all...but then I would feel bad if they did, i guess

Ive hollowed out dark blue candles and filled them with bagged edibles before. After youve put them in there, take a piece of cardboard and cover the hole you made, melt the wax you took out to make a hole and cover the cardboard with it carefully enough to not fill your cavern with wax again. It worked really well to send a friend of mine some cookies to england, although some of the cookies got mushed, it fucked him up.
Ive thought about it since then though and maybe it would be easier to ship hash oil back in the candles rather than the edibles....
Yeah, the candels thing sounds like an ok idea. The only thing thats really making me hesitate is that I am mailiong from Jamaica to USA, and as we all know thanks to the US "war on drugs" , Jamaica is still largely under the influence of worthless DEA persons and tourists get busted all the time there, also in the airports. Does anyone know for sure if dogs can smell the THC in brownies or cookies? when the butter has been thouroughly strained? If not, than for sure I will do this. I just want to play it safe...

god help you if your talking about him sticking some weed up his ass. Have you ever done that? Seems more like something a crack head would resort to than a stoner.
Use something that they would have to fuck up in order to search, They will be much less likely to tear that apart by mere suspison.
If nothing else when you get there, buy a cheap radio or some type of device that easily screws together, and hide the bud, hash ,or hash oil in that. Dont use stuffed animals, they are fucking targets because they are used so often.
If you leave the bud as bud and attempt to ship it then you should be meticulous about making sure no smell gets on the outside of the bag from your hands. To do this, wash your hands, open the bag and have someone hold it open, put on rubber gloves and put the bud in, take gloves off and seal the bag, tape it all over and do that several times.
ship it under a fake name to a fake name @ your home address (as long as your grow op isnt there, if it is ship it somewhere else). @ least that way if its found you arent accountable, you dont know either party or why they used your address.

also I wanted to add, with the recent national security issues that have happened in the past few years air security has supposedly beefed up @ lot...
So I dont think that air shipping them would be a good idea since there is a high possibility of the package being x-rayed and the contents being found.

they have narcotic and explosive detectors in several major airports these days. I experienced one in the airport in Buffalo, NY not long ago. called EntryScan.....made by GE..... Google it and read about it. You walk into it, it makes scary sounds and supposedly "sniffs" for explosives/narcotics.
Yeah, but once again, everybody, I am not bringing it back through the airport with me, I plan to mail THC brownies as the safest resort. And no, I do not plan on going to jail at all, especially not for an 1/8th! like that would even make good brownies. I plan on alot. maybe buying an ounce or so (depending on whatever quality we get...) and cooking the rest. So...nobody knows whether the dogs can smell the THC and whatever little bits of plant material might be in properlay strained brownies?!?!?! NO ONE?! this is a question I feel needs to be addressed SOME where here...and yeah, I am a new member but I have been following threads here for awhile, just not looking at pictures or asking questions. So naturally... i don't grow! I do nothing illegal. ever.

Any amount of marijuana can be sniffed out by drug dogs regardless of plant material, they can smell it in any package and any medium you place it in, especially if you give it enough time to permeate (a matter of hours for most materials). You've got to receive that package somewhere, probably your home, and by using the mail system you're facing federal felony charges in the US for what would normally be simple possession.

Good point. The moment it comes to the border it becomes a smuggling issue in the legal system, but thats why I said to send it with a fake name and receive it under a fake name.

omg its fucken easy all u have to do is buy 5 computer and find 5 differn address to mail to then unscrew them and put in your cookie but air thight. then ship off and u have 5 chances to lose them or none at all

Thanks alpha, thats what I really wanted to know. I guess if theres nothing you can do about the smell of a minuscule amount of plant material in brownies then all is lost. All I wanted was a tried and true method...oh well, its not like we wont be smoking while were there!

Smuggling=trafficking. Trafficking is a step above sales. Somewhere on par with manufacturing. Good luck with that. Feds hand out nicks and dimes like they were cheese in a poor house.

A dogs nose works a lot different than ours. When a dog smells brownies he doesnt smell it like the goodness we are found of, what he does is smells flour, chocolate, sugar, pot, and whatever else you have in there as separate smells.....not just a hunk of brownie.
There is no tricking the dogs nose into not being able to smell the pot. The only way to get it past a dog is to seal it up just before him sniffing you and hope the pot smell has not penetrated your container. When dealing with dogs its really all about penetration. If the smell has not penetrated thru the container then the dog cant smell it, but you will not be able to hide the penetration longer than 2-3 hours maybe.
If anything I would seal it up really tight and overnight it.
I would feel a lot better mailing something within the USA than to mail from outside of the borders, specially if its from somewhere like Jamaica.
Just my thoughts though....best of luck.
