I use MG organics... My opinion is MG is good outdoors... your taking care of simple pests like those knats anyways. Its a reasonably priced decent quality. I suggest a better soil for indoors(next grow im switching from MG in my indoor grow, I have had problems indoors, outdoors wonderful. I use MG nutes as a supplement to my Organic growing. I dont mean organic CHEMICAL nutes, I mean multch, casting, nectures, ect.
If you use MG nutes (reasonably priced) make sureyou add 1 tbsp of espon salt to a gallon of water, once a week. That keeps the salts from causing a nute lockout. That was the key to my failures with the MG. Now that im established I might find it worth spending more on the soils.
HOWEVER! I planted in just MULTCHED Garden scrap pile/oak burn pile turned over with my tiller. 6 inches of dark rich soil, cost me maybe 50cents in fuel to till it all in. No added soil what so ever. I have 4' X 6' beautiful powdered plants. Many might get upset at this comment but "IN MY OPINION, chemical organic nutes are still chemical and not as organic as the way I do it. I have a full scale cegetable garden too, this makes mulch and burnoff very cheap/easy/ and effective."
