Hello im new here to the site ive just started growing my weed pant and its already been one week and its going fine until about a little while ago when I watered it. The plant is starting to tip over a little which doesnt look right to me now becuase its seemed fine the whole week until about this point, I can send a picture.

if you look at the picture the root and leaves on the plant seem to look fine no browning or anything and today will be one week so if anyone can tell whats going on that would be really help full, thanks.

It's stem is pretty thin, probably just can't hold itself up anymore. You can re-plant it a little deeper and get it under more intense lighting.

should I add more soil to it? im also not sure if I can move the plant, im kinda affraid to touch it cause I was told that it would shock the plant but I guess im gonna just add more soil to it ive got planty of lights around it and everything I have is pretty basic here.

ya bury most of that long stem. and your lights have to be far away for it to be stretching that bad

There's not much room left in that pot. You will just have to be careful not to damage it. Uncover the stem a little bit at a time until you hit the roots.

actually its a huge pot and there isnt enough soil at the top of it, and the lights arent t far from it just a little bit high. so should I just cover it up or is it best to try to remove it and re-plant it? I'm new and this and never messed with plants so im kinda affraid on what to do. If theres anything on this site that could walk me though re-plant or whatever that would be helpful or I could just go ahead and try to re-plant or cover up the roots, re set my lighting and that'll be it.

okay so I added more soil and covered up most of the stem got the lights closer. Now, I've got one question, should the top of the plant be tipped like it is or will it straighted out over time now that ive moved my lights closer?

its not just the light not one person has mentioned that you need to get a fan blowing on the seedling, not blowing directly on it at first but the gentle breeze will strengthen the stem as well as getting the light closer. repot the plant being careful not to tear the roots and as mentioned cover most of the stem to just under the foliage. The stem will turn into roots. The fan helps though make it stronger as well as close lighting

i vote for the brace. Use a plastic coated wire, like the stuff they use to close bags of bread and stuff... make a little ring like shape on one end and plant the other end in the soil, then pass the top of the plant through the ring, it will act as a plant stake, but for a baby...

that will hold your seedling up, and you might wanna find a way to give it more intense light so it wont stretch any more...:)

good growin,

jah

Ok first off what kind of light are you using?

Second of you need to bury that stem or replant it witch ever is more conveinant.

third if you have floro's, CFL'S it needs to be 2 inches from the plant it can even be toucing it and it ont hurt.

POOR PLANT THO

im using the curled florescents I dont have any of the tube ones right now and I have to small ones and one big one so im using 3 lights, and ive covered up most of the stem. it seems to be standing up at the top where the flower is now

I dont know if those lights are good enough.... I was kinda thinking they were since ive gotten the plant to grow unlike my first attempt where it died, that was in the summer of last year too.

Do you just have lamps around it? You really need to put the lights over it. If the lights are to the side the plant is going to keep stretching to the closest light and you will end up in the position before you added more soil. Get a light over it. cfl or floro 2-3 inches away from the top of the plant. having one light placed above the plant will do more than having 4 lights around the outside. especially at this stage.

If you do have a light over it then nevermind, lol.

I have a light on top which is the biggest bulb and two on the side, which you said would just cause it to stretch, so im going to have to figure out how to get those over it.
