HELP! multi stage scrog with carts inolved - gonna be a fun one

Here is my new plan. Just bought a house in a state where 5 or less plants isn't a felony. So I devised a plan to pitch to my girlfriend lol. I am trying to decide what size water reservoir and pumps I am going to need for 1 plant. I think 66 gph should suffice for a pump and those are round fifteen bucks. Not sure on air pump, just a single fish aquarium one for each (nothin too fancy there). Lighting is in my picture please let me know what you think. I will be looking into ventilation odor control and Co2 a bit later. It is in my basement so it should stay cool (ambient is round 60 all year down there). STRAIN, I am not sure which to get. I was thinking god bud. I have around 6.5' height to work with when completely empty. With these conditions met and after a few learning curve cycles, any estimates on yield? I need some help from the old scool pros to help me pitch this thing to my girlfriend. room.jpg

Yield is mostly affected by the grow area and light type and power, height won't matter much if you're gonna SCROG them, and CFL's keep plants bushy and short. with HID's having 1 gram per watt is doable.

a better way to look at it is that the penetration is pretty much determined by how many lumens are being put out, divided by the area which they are emitted from. For a CFL you are talking X lumens, but they are spread out over a fairly broad area (the surface area on the bulb itself). HID you are talking Y lumens, but they are emitted from a point that is only a few mm sq, this is what you would call a point source light. Because of this CFL's will not penetrate nearly as much as the HID. You can grow tall plants with the CFL's, but since you won't get much more than 12" of penetration your plants would be 1 foot canopies with bare stalks below. HID will penetrate (even enough to illuminate lower leaves through higher ones) much further so you will get a more dense plant once you pass a point in growth.

Im still not sure the size reservoir I should go with. Or the watering schedule for one plant. Hopefully some of yall got some info to help take some guess work out of it. I'm gonna hook up drip emitters to 66gph pump per plant. Any thoughts?

What are you growing in? Drip systems don't need a big Res. You may need several if plants will be in different stages. I think soil would be easier to s/u especially doing a scrog where growing containers can't be moved.

I think I may go with with individual complete waterfarms for each plant or a power grower but like you said 420forme, the issue is going to be cleaning out res etc. And I've been reading around but still don't quite understand how you check/change nutes etc without taking top grow chamber off. I supposes a turkey baster type deal would suffice by pulling water from the water level tube. I dunno I am still debating. My girlfriend is down with it and I am creating a shopping list. Just have to wait for tax return and then its on.

edit: And by the way 420forme, if you review my image again you will see each plant DOES have its own res and its own screen all on it's own cart.

have two res so you can just switch them out. you check the res every day. and change it once a week..
I think I may create a platform that can maybe be a trap door on each cart so I can drop down the res to check roots nutes and clean out res. But yes I agree I may need a single extra res for cleanout etc and swap em out and clean as I go along.
