3'10" L x 1' W x 2'8" H, is this enough?

i want my first experience to be nice and swell with out gettin caught.
this means not going hard pushing 400watters in a confined space AND not spending too much as i am on a tight budget. im also not looking to veg for long and dont expect massive yields. maybe later on when i have my own place, i can do this all right.

i would like to know what kind of lighting i really need for 1 plant in the space i have to use. i would like to know whether i should stick with 1x175w/200w mh for both veg and flower OR 1x200w hps for veg and flower? i have done some research and i have been told 200w is more than enough for 1 plant, any other opinions?

this is my first time so any help would be appreciated.
put yourself in my shoes, what would you do?

thanks in advance.

yes that will work I would get a double t5 setup and scrog it
or you could use cfl bulbs as they will work and save energy.
a 200 watt light in that small area will produce a ton of heat without proper ventalation you wont be able to use more than 150 watts in that space

unless you are paying the extra money for an aircooled reflector 200 watts in that confined area will burn your ladies up. I would suggest getting something more like a 70w hps. Also I don't know what type of box you are using but if at all possible you should tip that on its side and go with more height rather than more horizontal space, that way you won,t have to worry as much about the light getting too close. Good Luck.

I don't think lighting is your first issue personally. Are you growing from seeds or clones? If seeds, they'll get to tall unless you keep chopping em down. Remember, when starting from seeds, they gotta be at least 6 weeks old before you flip em.

Man thats a small space! Less than 12 cubic feet! Good luck!
