I'm not always a happy camper when I travel.

You should read more Green and Rosenthal too. Jorge is opinionated and wrong on more then one thing...

Should be done to start with.....Combination of Dolomite, (I don't use much as it has lots of Mg and you can get too much) Crushed egg/oyster shell (equal amounts). Then you add your Mineral mix and then your main NPK nutrient source and stir, water then "cook"....

Sorry about the dis - bad day and that's no excuse on my part for that...again, sorry bout that.

No probs Doc.

I know exactly where I screwed up. Not that I didn't know my water was going to have lime it. The fact my water is giving off ph readings in the copper corrosion vicinity was my mistake. I stupidly went off the advice that "you don't need to check ph for soil grows".

As it turns out, I ignored it at my own peril and suffered the consequences. No big deal though. You live and learn. It is a bit of deal though when you get people calling you an idiot. I know I am an idiot. An idiot for taking dumb advice to ignore ph when growing in soil...

I ignore my soil pH.....BUT, I do know my in-going pH and every once and awhile. I do have to pH the in-going to 6.5 when watering, mostly for a cpl of re-amended soil formula's I use for particular nute hog strains...
For the most part my soils can take up to around 8.5 and still self pH. I have never had water that was low. Sop I can't comment on that.
