i have an aeroflo also. its my first grow with it and i have to say it works fairly well. your lighting seems powerful. the only thing is make sure you get a tds and ph meter . and it all depends on how long you veg for. ive grown in dirt and what i noticed was that the plant tripled in size when i flowered. it was a flop tho because it had to be thrown away

i would invest in or suggest

1.a cap art dne or similiar timer for your pumps. 1min on 5 min off

2.obviously you have a ppm and ph meter

3.keep ur water 69 or cooler or you will have heartbreaking problems

4.flush your system everyweek with a new solution. not a must but it helps alot

hahaha heavily agree with # 3 for newbies. #1 is not crucial, but as I remember the aeroflo 30 may use a submersible pump. If that is so, the timer may be a wise investment.

Don't gro from your bagseed if you can avoid it....you bought an expensive aero system....why not get a few cheap seeds with good genetics.

gh 3 part is a great set I hear. Start your nutrient concentration around 300-450ppm with well rooted clones. Check out the lucas formula for the 3 part.

start all of your clones at the same time. = same height = better light distribution

1x 1000watt hps would be fine for the 30 site, but never hurts to add more I suppose.

thanks for the tips ive been winging it but let me tell you my mom didnt raise no fool lol one thing that i found out is i was suffering from nitrogen def also what i found out is i put in my regular nutes an after about six days its time for new water or top up i then added 2 teaspoons of floro gro an 2 teaspoons of fox farm grow big an then a teaspoon of bloom an then bam they double in size an got much healthier a real deep green color thank you all so much for the help . but im not done with the question my next one is when do i top them an how long should i veg for an lastly what do i do about the smell

the darker green you were talking about earlier is preferable. However an extremely dark green can be a sign of nitrogen toxicity.

DO NOT VEG BEYOND 6-8 inches. You are more than likely going for a single cola style grow because that would be a good idea. If you let them veg past 6-8 inches they will end up at about 3 feet unless your growing genetics like low ryder or something lol. AERO VEG = VERY FAST and extends greatly into flowering cycle.

I like that your room stays at 65 degrees for your res, but this is not optimal for your plants. Go for an ambient temp of 70 tops and 60 at the lowest. This should still keep the res in check 2.

I hope those bag seeds turn out to be something decent for ya.

nutrient concentration? Depends on nute and your plants genetics. You will generally start off around 400-600 ppm's with fully rooted clones.

Heat is the #1 reason people run the pump on a timer.

Theoretically aeroponics will provide enough o2 to the roots, that they should not need a "drying out" time, like as is required with soil or ebb and flow hydroponics.

However, it seems that the problem isn't the lack of o2, but the fact that when roots are soaked consistently, they tend to mat together. When the roots are fluffy and spread out, they grow many tiny little white hairs that are very effective at absorbing water, nutes and o2. When they become matted, you will see less of these fine root hairs and the plants will not grow as fast.

So, the #2 reason would be to allow the roots time to dry out, not to provide o2 in and of itself, but to allow the roots to "fluff up" again(which they will not do if being sprayed constantly).
Also, I like to aim the spray jets into the corner at the exact point that the water surface meets the wall of the tube. This seems to give the best misting/NFT oxygenation.

Good luck!
