help me get around state dry weight laws

Hey everyone, hoping some ingenious grower out there can give me a suggestion.

Im in a state with 2.5 oz "usable material" weight limits. This is hard to maintain while making sure I have a consistent supply of meds for patients. like walking a friggin tightrope.


Already running perpetual, but my question is this:

Does anyone have a clever ways to harvest larger yields but keep in in a non-usable state and slowly dry it out. I have heard of freezing it wet, and bringing it out a little at a time. Anything else? I want to also increase harvest to supply the local dispensary with overages too. But dont want to be WAY over limits at any time.

i give patients weed sometimes to store for me when i get a little heavy. i reciprocate generously, works so far

what state has a 2.5 oz limit? Even Wa. allows 1.5 lb

dont freeze it, never freeze wet plants, unless you can flash freeze them at -40, it forms ice crystals that rupture the cell walls and when thawed it just kinda turns into snot.

i dont understand this though, what is "usable material" that sounds like some subjective term that could be applied however they wish. shit theres more than 2 ounces of just leaves on just one of my branches. well you got 2 options, get shittier weed that doesnt look usable, or get much much stronger weed that requires less.

maybe get shitty lookin weed and covor it in hash oil, shit i dont know.

its a 2 edged sword. see weed should never be dried, it should be cured, like tobacco it needs to have its moisture level brought down slowly, and then only so far.

super dry weed weighs alot less, but it burns like flash paper.

uve tried the standards? cutting off all the leaves leaving only calyx's ?

ya the law is so friggin vague. But essentially any smokable weed is usable. Flash freezing huh. hmm I'll look into it.

I dunno maybe theres no way around it, just thought maybe some cali growers have come up with somethin clever. If dispensaries would buy wet and cure it themselves it would be a great help cuz then I could just clip off 2.5 oz at a time and transport it.

Flash freezing involves dipping your materials in either liquid nitrogen or CO2. Great for vegetables as they freeze solid instantly.
Last time I checked nobody was thawing out brussel sprouts or broccolli to smoke it though.

Hmmm quite a dillema you have. I would have to say you should A) talk to a lawyer, estabilish what "usable material" is, and see if u can work that out to your advantage B) Talk to the dispensary.. come up with a price for wet buds, im sure they can learn how to cure, this way you don't have to worry about anyone cuttin u short on a "dry" weight. Other than that, unrealistic things like flash freezing are a crapshoot.

Ya...seeling the disp wet would be the perfect solution! They are new though so we'll have to see how flexible they are.

you could always keep all the bud in a constant rotation of curing, if the cops ever showed up just tell them the bud is curing and is not in a "usable" state, also if you sealed the bud with the dates it went in the jar with a tape seal or something like that then it was never outside the container in a "usable" state, not sure if your willing to test the transluscent boundries of the law in this way but hey its a theory.

Try making your extra into Hash. You will have the best and strongest smoke around. It would take a pound of weed to make 1/2 oz of Hash.
