Hi my babies are growing and noticed that one of the plants leaves are curling downwards. Now i started with them in a soil disk and had cut up soda bottles over them for condensation. But when i noticed it curling i lowered the light from 8 inches to 4 inches and removed the bottles. Oh and the one that's curling has a red spot under one of the leaves that's curling i do believe. PLEASE HELP MY SETUPIMG_20200607_092923.jpg

Need clearer pictures from above but that looks like the cotyledon which do often curl down. That light does look awfully close, though I'm not sure how intense it is.

I'd leave them be, they don't look bad. Hard to tell but the soil looks a bit wet. I wouldn't give them any more water until it dries out well. These are only like 5-7 days old right? Probably need watered once or twice total, including the intial soaking, depending on conditions.

U are correct on the age. And when would u recommend transplanting into their 5 gallon bucket? (Their Home) And i wont touch them, ill leave the light where it is and keep an eye on them. The light is an 20 Watt LED grow light

I assume these are photos? If so you want to wait until you see a bit of root growth around the outside of your starter plug before sizing up. If it's an auto you want to have it in its final home relatively soon. I usually go seed plug to 3 gal pot within 7 days. Their taproots shoot for the bottom immediately.

That should be a photoperiod so wait until you see root growth wrapping around on the outside of the starter plug. It could take a week or a few. Just be patient.

So just to be clear stop watering till they dry a lil and once i see the roots start to wiggle out then transplant them????

Sorry to pick your brain just my first time and dont want to kill them lol

I would transplant into a 1/2 or 1 gallon pot and then about 2-3 weeks later transplant to the final 5 gallon. As far as watering goes i dont know ive never started a plant in those things I always use dirt. Solo cup of dirt. 1 gallon pot. 5 gallon pot.

Lion, the best suggestion I could give a new grower would be to NOT love them to death.
All they need are a little moisture, light and eventually nutrients.
Let it grow.
