its back to the help thread for my noob ass.
my plants lower leaves are yellowing, bad. i had this problem early on, but it seemed to fix itself. now the spots are back again worse than ever.
i thought it was an N deff. since i hadnt fed them anything before, but i gave them some nutes, 1/4 strength, and the spots just keep growing.
It starts at the tip of the leaf, and eventually, the whole thing dies. however, on the worst plant, some of the other leaves are getting the faint brown spots all over.
any ideas on what could be the cause?

also, would switching the plants from 24 hrs of light, to 18/6 at this point stress the plants in any way? is it a good idea in general?

Pics, for your diagnosing pleasure.

i was thinking about ph issues, but i dont know my ph and i dont have a meter or anything.
i thought i wouldnt have to worry about any of that complicated BS, lol, but these plants are some fussy mofo's

No, there won't be any stress involved. It's really a personal preference thing. Some people say 18/6 is the best way to go and others say 24. I think the main reason a lot of people do 18/6 is simply to save a little on power consumption (I know I do).

That is the issue in my mind. You could be experience all sorts of pH lockout which would explain deficiencies. pH is one of those things that you really have to monitor over pretty much everything else. Giving them nutes is worthless if the plant can't absorb them because of your pH.

Trev is right mate.
Same is happening to my babies but
it is not as bad only slight yellowing
of the bottom leaves and a yellow tone
thats only noticiable on the top leaves when
my lamp is on.
Iv tested my PH and its at 7.4!
Defo Lock out if ya just using tap water with no PH down!
you should get a PH tester ASAP and a bottle of PH down just in case :)
