:weed: I was fixing a light yesterday and the damn thing fell on my plant. It broke the top stem in half. The branch did look like this; Y, but one got broke off. it didn't come all the way off so I duck taped it back on and it seems to be living. It happened yesterday and today i see new growth on it and it seems to be alive and healthy, is there other special care or nurchering I can give it to make sure that it pulls thru. It's my only plant and it is awesome looking I don't want it to die, it's my 1st indica plant. so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks RIU:clap:

Depending on the break, did it just bend it and crink it over? Or did it rip off? If it still looks healthy by now you will probably be okay. If you break a stem it will most likely show you if its going to live or die in the first 24 hours.

OO and no there is nothing else you can really do for it. Duct Tape may not have been the BEST solution, but it still serves the purpose.

You did the right thing, alot times if a branch is not completly cut off if can be taped on and will continue nomraly on strong.

I would take the duct tape off and wrap it back up with something that isn't going to stick to the plant. When you go to take the duct tape off, be careful not to cause further damage to the plant. Wrap it with gauze or something like that and it will continue to grow just fine.

that's one way to top your plant. seriously listen to the guys above. your lower branches will probably shoot for the skies now.

i would say leave it be. by taking off the tape your probably going to damage further, i would try misting the break w/lukewarm water daily until the adhesive on the duct tape dissolves, then do something less invasive. but if your still seeing new growth ur probably good to go.

I have broken branches before bro. Trust me, take the tape off now b4 it really sticks to the skin. Not only that, but the tape won't stretch or give any when the branch starts to repair itself and it gets fatter. The gauze will. This is not my opinion, it's knowledge from going thru it.

if you really want it to stay on the plant look into the stuff you use for clones...some kinda solution that coats the "cut" and helps promote growth...can't remember where i read about it tho...

OK THIS SOUNDS LIKE YOU RUSHED TO SAVE YOUR PLANTS LIFE IN A HURRY AND JUST GRABBED SOME DUCT TAPE AND TAPED IT BACK ON RIGHT? THAT SOUNDS PRETTY UNSANITARY, IF I WERE YOU I WOULD TAKE A RAZOR BLADE, DIP IT IN RUBBING ALCOHOL, AND REMOVE WHAT YOU HAD BROKE OFF. NOW YOU'VE INVITED A NUMBER OF PROBLEMS IN. I JUST HAD THE TOP OF MY PLANT BREAK OFF,:wall: SO I GOT MY BLADE AND SLICED IT SO FAR DOWN THE STEM IT WAS HOLLOW INSIDE!:o BUT A WEEK LATER IT'S DOING JUST FINE AND I'VE HAD NO SIGNS OF A PROBLEM WITH IT.:weed: YOU JUST GOT TO BE CLEAN.

if that happened and I got scared I'd take that part for the clones if can offer if you have the space for clones and its the right gender you want
