when should i remove my propagator heat pad
i took the lid off a few days ago but i don't know when to remove heat pad,

The plants are in big rockwool cubes still in the propagator, there are roots coming out the bottom of the big cubes and im worried the lights going to hit them soon

i cant move them to the hydroponic system because my ballast isn't arriving for another 48 hours, what should i do?

the plants are about 2 weeks old, they were given to me a week ago already rooted

I remove it when I see roots which is when I put them in soil. With your situation I think I would remove the pad.

Never have used Hydro so unsure what happens next. Good luck and keep us posted.

You don't need to remove it, but it's good to remove it a few days before you transplant them so they have time to adjust to the typical root zone temperatures. HAPPY 4/20! :)

Unless the temps are still getting low in your area,i would have removed them from the heat pad as soon as they popped their heads up.I have sprouted my seeds on a window sill for years and years, the light has never hurt the roots or plants.I have two tubs that i use for autoflower plants, they are clear and have two grows in them so far.I get a little algee growing in them, but the light does not hurt the roots.OPH
