Help! Growing Problems.

I have a 3 x 4 foot space to grow in with a 6 foot ceiling. This is my second attempt after failing miserably the fist time. Knowing what I did wrong I had gathered some "bag seeds" for another try. The only problem is that this time I was so afraid of producing an all male crop that I accidentally germinated too many.
Now I have around 27 plants all about a week old. I put three plants in a three gallon container using fox farm soilless mix. Now I have 9 three gallon containers. I have a 400w MH (36000 lumens), and if need be three 125w CFL's (5,000 lumens each). Later on I will switch out the MH bulb for a HPS bulb for flowering.
Is this enough light to produce good size buds? Pretty sure only half the plants are female, so after a week of flowering I would be able to cut them down. Basically that, and if you guys had that space to work with what would you do? What kind of lights, and exhaust system would you run?

27 bag seed plants??? damn man, that's way too many for a 400 mh... If it were me, and this is just my opinion...i'd get only the number of plants that can fit in about a 3 x 3 area and AFTER i found out which were females, group all your females together under that light... i think 4-6 plants would be PLENTY! but that's me... 400w should be enough for that, but i'd get an HPS to help out... the cfl fluoro's are great for "spot lighting" using them on lower branches to make buds a little fuller. but they have to be really close to maximize efficiency... i'm babbling, haha, if you need anymore info. just ask man, somebody's always willing to help on here! p.s.... Quality over Quantity, it pays off in the end!

How many females do you think I would get from around 27 plants? Also this is just my test run to see how everything works. Quality is better than quantity but in some technics like "Sea Of Green" quantity is used to get quicker results. I want to get 6 to 12 females each yeilding around 28 to 40 grams instead of 2 to 4 females yeilding 120 to 130 grams. I actually don't even know what I'm talking about anymore. I guess what I wanted to find out was how to get a harvest in 3 to 4 months.

it will be very tough to get 12 1+ oz plants off of 1 400 w hps, and it will be very difficult to impossible to get 4 5 oz plants from one hps either, especialy using bagseed. your time frame however is right on track you have 1-2 months of vegging depending on how tall you want them and then 2 months of flowering. you could gett it done in just under 3 months with the right strain and sog. Despite your high expectations I wish you luck with your grow and love your ambition.

True... So if I end up with 6 females out of the 27 plants I would need to get 600-1000 watt HPS.... and if I wanted to get those 27 plants to be at least a foot tall I would need.... 1000 watt MH? All I have are CFL's right now I was going to order that 400 MH but now I don't know.... Just let me know what you guys think. Thank you very much for your input! kef smokin

put some outside

put all the males and 1 female outside. leave them out there so the males can gang bang the female, then get the bud and seeds from the female to keep generation going


and then plant 27 more seeds, sell'em, grow'em, do what w/e you want with them, or fill your garage with plants and make a weed factory and produce 5 lbs every month(depending on garage size)

then you can become a drug lord or something
