Just sharing my new style of SOG grow

in 1 gallon pot

sog1.JPG sog2.JPG sog3.JPG

These are started from seeds though, so I have them at 8 weeks veg.

10 pots in a 2x4 grow closet. I'm looking at least an ounce a pot if not more

@Xs121 Looking good bro! Out of curiosity -- how much light do you use? One doesn't want to get too close to the light saturation point. This is for SOG tent grow with CO2. Do you grow LED?

I'm using LED at 50 true watts per sq ft, maybe 100-150 watts equivalent per sq ft. ( I don't go much with equivalency but just follow what true watts is my light)

Also experimenting with very little fertilizer (have cut my fertilizer to 1/8-1/16 of my normal dose) with the help of endo-mycorrhizae. So far, test smoke :) is way smooth (microwave at that) compared to dispensary crap.

Hello all... ok so this is what’s going on: I just started growing SOG style, so I grew out my mom plants, 2 strains, 4 a piece. Northern lights and GDP. So I grew them for 2 months before taking clones. They are in 2 5x5 tents 400 watt MH in each tent. I do my cloning taking 70-80 clones every 2 weeks using a perpetual harvest and rotate the strains. So 2 weeks NL and then 2 weeks GDP, back and fourth. I use 2 40 site oxycloners with good results. They take 2 weeks to root then I throw them in a 5x5 with a 500 watt MH( adjustable watt ballast) for another 2 weeks before putting them into the flower room. Flower room is 6 ft wide by 18-20 ft long with 8 ft ceilings. I have 3 1000 watt I power ballasts in there and built 3 4x4 beds lined with plastic to put each round of clones in. I use general Organics grow for veg and bloom for flower. This is a soil grow in 1 gallon square pots using fox farm happy frog. Water is done every 1-2 days and temps in the flower room never get above 75 degrees and never fall below 65 with the lights off. I use 2 oscillating fans and each end of the room and get great air flow through the room. So to recap: I’m using soil, I’m using I power 1,000 watt ballasts, GO nutrients. PH is always between 5.5 and 6.0. I have never had any nutrient def as of yet. I just harvest my 4th run. Here’s the issue: I researched the shit out of SOG before starting this and investing in all the equipment blah blah blah....after 4 runs the highest yield was 10oz and the lowest was 6 oz. that’s off of 55-65 plants. Wtf am I doing wrong here because the 10oz averages out to be roughly 4.5 grams per plant???? So at any given time I have 180 plants in flower, 60 plants in veg, 60-70 clones, and 8 mothers. I’ve seen people getting 12-28 grams per plant using similar styles of growing. Fuck I’d be going to jail for awhile if I got caught and I thought I’d get at least a pound per grow. This isn’t worth the time it takes to dedicate to this kind of grow or the legal issues that come with it. Anyone help me out? Thank you
Get into scrog man I yield 12 to 16 oz off of three plants depending on the strain...

Ok lets see you have enough light and your grow room seems dialed in. Now are the strains your growing known to be high yielders? for quick growth with sog plants you need the roots to root out the pot very quick, this will not happen soil as quick as you may think. So my advise change to coco use a root stimulator and basic grow and bloom nutrients with some pk 13/14. When you switch to 12/12 feed them grow nutrients only until end of 3rd week then change to bloom nutrients, on the 5th week give them some pk 13/14 thats it nothing else is needed. Multi feeds a day in coco is the dogs balls when pots are rooted out. I use 2 litre tall pots mostly. Latest run is in small hempy buckets ie plastic bins from the pound store, 1.5 litres of hydroton in the buttom and 3 litres of coco above. Works a treat every time. Look in my diary all is well documented from start to finish.

Sog when done correct will out yield a scrog, I do scrogs also because I get bored but the sog will always out yield the scrog and with much better quality nugs. Been in this game 30 years so plenty of experience in different styles of growing and grow room spaces.
Cool I'll have to look into it!!!Ive been scrogging three plants in a four by four and get about a pound in dry weight...How would you suggest I do a sog on my next run...Im always open to experienced growers advice...

I had a mini sog going because I defoliated a few plants and didn't want to waste cuttings, so I cloned them in solo cuts. Then they were in 3 quart volume pots. I might change to this style forever. So pretty. 1:2 Coco , soil ratio. I go very light on nutes and water more than I feed. I vegged the plants to establish roots, and get a little bigger.
Buds are way better than buds from mother's, mainly bigger.
If I didn't use containers I could fit quite a few more in this 2*4 tent
