Help for cxb3590 light config

20w less than max isn't going to decrease the efficiency of the driver by any notable amount but you could get by with a 200w setup in that space. 30x30 is 6.25 square feet. If you used a HLG-185H-C1400B the PPFD will be just under 900. HLG-240H-C1750B will provide about 1035 PPFD and the HLG- 320H-C2100B will provide almost 1200 PPFD. I think the 200w setup would be bitchin', whether you want to go higher than that is up to you.
The set up is with the 240 I suppose...? I'll need a dimmer to select 200W? Wihtout dimmer 4x60W? Thx.. so clear so pro! In french we say " clair & net "!

The 185 would be the 200w output option, 50w each at full power. The 240 would be 250w output (62w each).

If you went with the 240 you could use a potentiometer between the dimmer wires if you want to dim during veg. Another option would be a power switch and a resistor in series in-between the dimmer wires, maybe a 60k ohm resistor to run at 60%... but if you want to fine tune it then use the potentiometer... and a kill-a-watt would allow you to dial in whatever wattage you wanted.

all becomes clear in my mind now.. slowly but surely! Last questions I don't want abuse your kindness! Which 185 i need to choose? how do you choose between all the differents series of 185/240/etc... what does it make you choose one and not an other... I mean why 36v and not 42v per example...? Thanks

The models ending with 36 and 42 are low voltage CC drivers, generally used for parallel wiring. If you were going with the 185 I would choose the high voltage HLG-185H-C1400B or other and wire the cobs in series.

4 3590s on HLG-185H-C1400B = 200w / 112 PAR watts
4 3590s on HLG-240H-C1750B = 248w / 131 PAR watts
4 3590s on HLG-320H-C2100B = 300w / 150 PAR watts

36v or 72v for the chips.. that's the real last question... for today!! ;-)
