Help! First grow on brink of extinction!

Hello to all,
I am a first time grower and a first time forum poster! Before I get started I would like people to refrain from saying, "It's your first grow, most people ,mess up", because I will not accept failure to receive nothing. I have a 36X24X60(LXWXH in inches) grow tent with a 400wHPS reflector w/ digital ballast. However, I started her out with a 100w daylight bulb (I think thats fluorescent?). I also have a fan blowing inside the tent. I planted the germinated seed on Aug. 28th and it sprouted two days later. That means it's been 13 days since I planted it, but only 11 days since it sprouted. Anyways, I have a medium of 1 part Organic Roots potting soil, 1 part Vermiculite, 1 part perlite. I started her out with just distilled water feeding once every two days. After about 7 or 8 days she began showing signs of yellowing on the edges of the leaves. Then like 2 days later the leaves are very spotty brown and more yellow. That same day, I gave her a TINY dose of Iguana Juice grow (it was a .6mL per L dose) because of her signs of "distress" lol. What else was a noob to do? Anyways, I figured I burned her so I retardedly tried to transplant her and ripped some of her way-too-young-to-be-tranfered roots. THAT was yesterday. She hasn't been fed in 24 hours and she looks miserable. Someone please give me some HELPFUL and POSITIVE advice for my baby!!

Is a 400w hps too much heat for that little tent? Do you have a temp/humidity gauge in there? If so what is temp/rH?

Oh, probably shouldnt do nutes for about a month after sprout. (in my opinion)

So I'd say it's a combo of heat/nute burn/transfer stress. That is a lot of stuff to do to her at 1.5 weeks old.

I keep the far left flap open to house so temp and humidity isn't issue. It's an oscillating fan so all thats good. It's about 73-74 in my house so it's probably about 75-77 in the tent. humidity is about 45%.

Would it be safe to add just a little root accelerator or some "Rapidstart" rooting enhancer? just to help those roots grow back?

temp and humidity isnt the problem then. Nute burn... I wouldn't nute until in a bigger pot and atleast 3-4 weeks old. Give her time to mature before giving her steroids. :P

And pumping more chemicals into the plant isn't going to help much. If it were me, I'd try and flush it, and grow babys (saplings) with CFLs or something until they 2 weeks old or so then put under HPS...

Make sure there are holes in the bottom of all your containers to allow for extra water run off(red solo cup). Then run water through your soil to flush the extra nuts out. You need to run 4 times the amount of water as there is soil. They will bounce back in a week

If you have organic potting soil you shouldn't need any nutrients yet, you shouldn't have ripped those roots because seedlings have a tap root which will go deep fast. I'd say your PH is off and you have deficiencies. maybe too hot also with a 400w if it is too close to the seedlings. Don't flush unless the soil will dry within a day or you could get more root problems

It takes about two days to dry out. I was positive pH was fine but ill check again when I water tomoro.. So I should NOT used any root enhancer? not even like .2mL per L?

The seedling is being overwatered every two days is to much invest in a moisture meter I just got one and I was watering mine every 3 but according to this meter it takes 5-6 days to dry and every since then she has recovered and exploded in growth so hold off ont the watering for about 6 days and it's ok to give a seedling a dose of a pure nitrogen fert every two weeks but every two days is to much

I hope it's just heat stress but if that looks like way more than heat stress I need to know. I would like to get my baby back to 100% healthy. I'll feed ONLY distilled water every 2 days for the next, say, 2 weeks? You say you go about 6 days without watering?!? that's crazy! She's only like 13 days old, I don't want to starve her!

The first thing I would tackle is your temps. You said you leave the door of the tent open. Is this because it's too hot with it closed?

Also, not that this has anything to do with your specific issue, but I was curious why you cut the Roots Organic with 1/3 Vermiculite and 1/3 Perlite? I use Roots too but used it as-is right out of the bag.

fyi, I gave my plants 2oz water every other day while they were still in party cups and that seemed to be a good amount. Sometimes less is more when growing these flowers... try to keep it simple and not mess with them too much. Hard, I know.
