I'm looking to get a 6500k hps bulb.

first, I am having trouble finding one...

second, provided I find one, with a mogul base.... can I use that for veg and then switch to my 2700k 600 watt hps for flowering?

I'm finding this whole CFL thing a pain in the ass... It's damn near impossible to position 15-20 bulbs around 6 plants..(23watt 6500k)

You'll never find one...they don't exist...they don't go that high. They're usually well under 4000k.

You can put a CONVERSION MH bulb in there at 6000K or thereabouts...if my memory is correct today.

you can find plenty of 4-6500k mh out there.
but not a HPS...
the Son Agro 430w HPS is pretty close, the extra 30w is a dual element that supposedly adds a bunch of blue light to the mix.
u can fine generic equivilants called enhanced hps at most lighting suppliers/websites if you look hard enough.
there not cheap though, avg about 80$ a peice usd

Hey Super, does the plantmax, being a cheap bulb, perform as good as others? Have you compared it to any other bulbs?
