Help did I top baby's to soon???

I'm wondering if I topped to soon wanted to take some clones from the tops but I think ingot excited an jumped ahead of myself :( ... The baby is about 6 inches tall an only 4 notes I think I might have done it to soon .. I started lst the little girl to prevent it from stretching an trying to make it bush out more after I tied her down some I want ahead an pinched off the top kicking myself in the assni should have waited longer so it could get bigger an I could have used it for a clone ... My question is what is the earliest you can top . ? And am I in trouble for doing this so soon day 12 ? I was watching some videos an guess I got carried away my buddy kept asking me when he should do it so after I watched video I went over an just jumped in an took the baby top off now I know I wasted a good clone won't do that again need some advice thanks
 
Also after I tied plant down horizontal to try an get more shoots the top of the plant then turned back up so now I just have it bent over like a dirty stripper an her head popped back up was this pointless ? Really need some advice will try an get some pics up asap
 
Sounds like you did. There is a couple hundred page thread on here about topping, read it until you feel comfortable about every question possible has been asked in that thread.
 
If the only thing I'm in bad for is losing a good clone I can deal with that lesson learned, but wondering if I hurt the baby got a call a little while ago stating it seems to be doing fine .... Will this effect yield ?? Guess the reading 100 pages is now out of the question the concern now is if I effected the baby and what should I expect an how can I help it if any? Thanks
 
You may have slowed growth a little bit, but it's nothing to be too concerned about. If it still looks good after a couple days you'll be fine probably.

Pictures would help huge it's hard to give an accurate assessment without them though. But it sounds Ok-ish :)

I'd still read the topping thread, and all the other stickies, it will stop you from making silly mistakes like this in the future.
 
Leave it alone and grow it like you would a tomato. You do have veggie or indoor gardening experience with other crops, don't you?

You didn't waste anything if you know how to root a cutting.
 
Yes sir on an off for bout 14 years although this is the first time I've topped this early aswell as lst I always waited a while not second week ha ... But wanted to try something different an keep it very short an bushy as much as possible to maximize yield ... I should add its in a 8x8 Hugo block and I'm feeding with canna aqua nutes just started adding additives on top of the aqua which I believe wil. Help with the rutes an stress if any in the little Pakistan Ryder she is already very stinky compared to others I've done so early in
 
only thing negative I ever experience when I top a clone early is weaker branching for an extra week or two untill things fully recover .
 
Ok so stopped by my buddy's on the way home from work I got a call few hrs ago saying leaves we're curling a bit .. I got there an the very bottom leaves look like the burned a little curling at tip an slightly twisting or something few yellow spots on leaves but growth actually took off an we're I topped it more shoots are already makeing there way out an it hasn't even been 24 hrs I snapped a few pics while I was there will post em up when I figure out how
