Help determining when they're ready to harvest

So it's about week 11 and I have a 30x scope but I can't tell for the life of me whether the trichomes are clear or cloudy or amber. Do I just need to get a stronger magnification lens?? I'm pretty sure they're ready but I don't wanna harvest too early. This is also the first harvest I've completed so you know where I'm coming from.

any help is of course greatly appreciated

You should be able to see clear/cloudy easily with 30x. That's what I use and it's a cheap loupe off ebay. I have a harder time with amber because I'm somewhat colorblind. I'm ok if I really slow down and look closely for shade differences, though. Try looking at the trics from the side under the bright lights and try to focus on individual ones as much as you can. that should help. Usually different angels will give you different perspective of overall ripeness.

make sure you are using the dials to magnify the image if necessary and make sure the battery is good and the light is working. one thing my prick of a father taught me was always check with the battery first and work from there.

it only has one magnification 30x its what they call a jewelers loop.

Here are a couple shots taken today

Week 11? Under 12-12? If that's 12-12(after a decent veg) you must be growing some serious sativa, my friend. I can't see the trics from the pics, but judging by the outward look of the plant, you've got a ways to go here.
