HELP!!! Deformed buds, not maturing properly?

Thought this was due to heat stress but got my temps down under 80. Seems to be happening on my new run as well, very frustrating. Topmost buds ok, occurs on bottom 3/4.
Using promix with AN sensei pH prefect and RO water.

Interesting. Yeah, they're engorged, look seeded. Stigmas are there but look dead and recded. Are you assuming they aren't because of their age, or because you checked?

I don't know what else what do that beyond ripening. I HAVE heard of plants ripening from the bottom up, but it's still way early, unless it's super fast and/or you're off on the timing.

They're in flower, just pistols not developing right from the start. Temp is still highish around 78 , been fighting it for a while now. Going to try and get it down more and see if I can prevent on future plants. Has happened on all before, now probably 20%. Making me crazy, increased my growb two cycles ago and everything went to shit, chipped away at every possibility I could think of and can find another image like mine anywhere

Yeah its a strange one. Are you sure you haven't fed anything else? Like MOAB, shooting powder, or some kind of MKP? I fed with MKP mid flower, and I also saw my stigmas (often miscalled pistils (often misspelled pistols)) disappeared. At very close inspection I found that they had browned and receded. I saw a great deal of swelling, not like yours, but weird. Stigmas came back a week or so later, and everything finished ok, but with some foxtailing. This was outdoors.

I wonder if it's to do with exposure to light? I mean, it seems obvious light is involved somehow, with it happening lower in the canopy. Can you drop a CFL down near a lower bud and see what happens?

Airflow?

It's a good mystery. By the way, there are very few insects, rare to encounter, that will solely eat stigmas, so don't go down that rabbit hole.

Nothing else feed to them, light penetration is good and I'm etchant m exhausting a good amount of air plus setup a cool tube on a separate loop. Hoping someone has seen this before.

Well, good luck. The good news is, stigmas do nothing for bud quality or plant health, except let the plant get seeded. So, provided all else is fine, it's a benign mystery.

Oh, and by airflow I mean circulation, not just exhaust. It's possible your upper canopy could be keeping the lower canopy too warm. That could do it. Good luck.

Then all else isn't fine, I guess. Just saying stigma death doesn't always mean a problem. I'd check temps under the canopy and if you don't have air circulating, blowing around within the space, you'll want to remedy that.
