I would like to go plexi for aesthetics but I will most likely go with .125 aluminum or t slot aluminum extrusions
Go with the tslot put the acrilic on that. using only acrilic is a really bad idea Imo but if your set on only acrilic make sure you ground all your heatsinks to the driver. If you use aluminum it grounds itself as long as the driver is mounted to the alluminum

I'm very familiar I've been an electrician for almost 20 years. Too bad it runs at 36v. National electric code allows for 24v and below to not have equipment grounds

Interesting I didn't know that I'm sure you will be all good with whatever you decide to do.

The more I think about it I'm leaning towards 48 inch modular 250w fixtures using 1x1 t slot aluminum extrusions. With 3 x 250w (5x50w) in each 5x5 footprint x 3 footprints
