Help chooseing CXB bins

Hi, sorry for a dumb question but I have read so much and only get more and more cunfused so again I am sorry about it must have to ask myself for direct answer to my question.

Found Kingbrite on Alibaba that so many talked about and got these bins for the CXB3070 that I entend to combine with a HLG-185H-C1400B, 4x 3070 + driver:

CREE CXB3070 3000K/30G/AD/80

CREE CXB3070 3500K/BB/35G/80

CREE CXB3070 4000K/BD/40G/80

..and possibly 5000k BD?

I read the Cree PDF and can see flux numbers and so but I am bad at this and have no clue about their color spectrums and so on so I wonder what bin you think I should choose, or if better mix bins and spectrums and if so why and what spectrums and bins? Money is a real issue here this will already kind of break the piggy bank so to speak but need lights. I think I will skip additional reflectors, lens but might need cob holders if chep versions are available?

are you looking at cxb3070 for low price? if so i think theres alot of options here for cheap cobs that perform better.talk to @CobKits about the citizen chips.
kingbright has good prices on the cxb 3590 cd bin which is much better chip then the 3070.

thanks for the bump,6string.

OP, those are all top bins in the respective colors i believe

and as 6string said I can get you into citi 1212s that are gonna perform similar to the 3070s for $12 ea. if youre on a budget thats real hard to beat. if you go that route use code RIU on the site (cobkits.com) to get that price. you seem to know whats going on with your design, those citi 1212s are 36V and act the same as CXB on your driver. pm me if you have any questions.

Thank you sixstring and cobkits, absolutely appreciate the help and quite honestly I am kind of slow to learn on a deeper level (something I really should) and take in and about as short on time as I am on money, not trying to be lazy on purpose, promise! :-D

Ok so now you guys gave me something to think about, have read about the citi chips on here but got no real info on performance and efficiency vs the 4xCXB and HLG-185H-C1400B but if they can perform it seems like a deal to me.
I will stay open to other alternatives regarding driver(s) as well, just love the though of really high efficiency and maximizing my set up. Actually it will be used for peppers for now but same principle as cannabis I suppose?
Probably will be used for that too later on, just into the peppers for the moment and what spectrum they like the best I have yet to find out started experimenting recently.

Regarding the HLG-185H-C1400B I do not yet own it, was a plan to go with the CXB's since others already established the perfect match but yeah if the 1212 can match CXB I don´t mind testing other stuff, I am in north EU so shipping is also something I have take into consideration, that + marked value on package (a balancing act no doubt) cause our custom fees and taxes can be extreme no doubt. Don't know why but the customs always grab North America packages and slap max fees on them which can often add lots even double cost some times. China packages they never grab for me, to a degree it really do seem like deliberate, picking and choosing, why is anyone's guess I suppose?

Thanks again appreciate it very much.

Sorry forgot to ask, in case of citi leds and if a match to planned driver (or other if you got any recommendation):

Which one of the 1212 is recommended, temp, cri etc, possibly a mix of different 1212's?

Thanks evil-mobo, so about the same as the Cree cobs I have been running then, perfect appreciate the help.

Good question cobkits, atm running peppers and flower early so maybe 3000k?

Just curious to if it would beneficial to perhaps mix in lets say a single 5000k and rest 3000k or something like that or better if going right to 3000k and skip mixing? With the Cree cobs I have sued like CXA 3000k z4's, some smaller 2530's and 2540's (got them for almost nothing so experimenting) it is doable but don't have enough experience to really say what kind of results I could get if playing around with spectrums?

Regarding driver I like the dimmable option but some info I have read on here point to citi cobs being able to run harder so nothing is written in stone just yet, willing to look at options to the Meanwell 1.4A I listed if efficient and overall great driver(s).

well again those are $12 cobs but they can run out to 100W easily with proper cooling

if you wanna do 300+W a cob you gotta spend $40 a cob

Thanks, that is monster effect for a cob. :p

Just saw the 3618 online, ohh mine that is just beyond... Have some thinking to do, calculations after all and figure out what way I want this build to take within certain limits, the price range seem very good for these Citi leds imho thanks for all help makes it much easier in this jungle of chips and information related to them.

If I even can afford it I have been looking into a DIY projector, hoping for 4k + led and Citi might just have shown me the way to go today?

Ok so read some and realized I need a little more planning while waiting for the $ to come in so I can pull the trigger, but the more I read the more I realize I will most likely go down the Citizen way with Cobkits instead.

I read your post (Cobkits) #422 here yesterday https://www.rollitup.org/t/introducing-cobkits-com-specializing-in-diy-and-citizen-cobs.916763/page-22 and was pretty impressed I have to say and I quote:

that first option is 160W out the door with driver, heatsink, chip for under $120 shipped. beat that..... all you need is a $2 12V wallwart for the fan
Well that was just darn impressive, just so many options regarding drivers and chips, what efficiency do I want to reach, how high to aim so to speak? Electricity is something I do notice bump up when I run lights so sweet spot performance/$ and efficiency must be found, if I want to ask specific questions in regard to specific items you sell where would the best place for that be? Also shipping questions to north EU for total cost and other shipping related questions etc.. etc..

generally about $40 to ship to the EU, more if you get heat sinks as they are quite heavy

i also have the apv-12-12 drivers for those fans on the site now

Thanks appreciate it, ok maybe the smartest way would to go as light on shipping as possible then and like originally planned cause the aluminum weight I can get here, the more the value on package and bigger the package the more likely customs will punish me to the max. Like I said customs here really o punish us very hard and a US package will be taken advantage of unless value on it is written down to under $50, then is is easier to deal with.

What would you recommend in terms of Citi cob or cobs + driver for a budget of let's say $150 tops including shipping? Looking for output but not on the cost of efficiency, over 50% would be appreciated and every bump upwards is a + cause it will make a difference over time. 1 light source or 2 or possibly more is doable but the less the easier and cheaper I suppose, so many parameters to think about easy to get lost when calculating on this?

Have eyeballed HLG-120H + HLG-185H cause they cheaper then the rest, maybe it´s easier starting at the driver of it all I don´t know haha?
