Help...Bunches of houseflys?? Do they hurt your plants??

Hello Everyone,
I have a bunch of housefly's in my 3'x6'x8' room and have a hell of alot of house flys getting in there. Do they hurt your plants in any way what so ever? They are annoying as hell. I also have some gnats/aphids but not very many. I got some Raid Organic insecticidal soap spray but its not workng very good for them damned annoying fly's. I sprayed everything walls,floor,ceiling, plant and the flys dont seem to care.
Any Info/advice would be appreciated.

no, shouldn't e an issue
the small fruit fly's are something to worry about when you're flowering! but the big ugly house fly's won't harm the plants, they're just fuck off annoying!

They look nasty as hell, but fly paper strips help quite a bit. Just make sure to hang them in the corners where you won't walk into them. Sucks trying to peel that shit off your face and out of your hair.

I shit you not, I just went out back to have a smoke, and there were two house flies fucking, right there on my plant. I never should have opened this thread.

So the flys wont eat/mate in the soil that has bat guanao, sea bird shit,worm shit, and a buch of other stuff that organic nutes have in it???
Im not second guessing anybodys input here but flys are dirty as hell and like shit right?

I would grab some Nematodes either online or at your local nursery. That will take care of anything foriegn in your soil. Then the fly strips for a few days.

If your soil is really, really rich, it might support a new generation of flies. Unlikely but not impossible.

Your right..it is unlikely.

Flies eat dead organic matter so figure out where that is and you figure out where the flies are coming from. My guess would be they were in your dirt, but they aren't going to really be able to take hold in mixed soil, but more so it's components. So your guano or castings may have been the culprit to begin with, but probably won't be now. Get some fly tape and do something about the aphids. I use tobacco water.

The flies didnt come from the soil,castings or anything like that...I live on a small farm , lotsa shit around... cows,horses ect.. lots of smelly ass animals I just wish there was a way to keep them out of the room

How do you use the tobbaco water??? I wouldnt mind giving it a try...nice and cheap.

Take a cup or so of dried leaves and seep it in a cup of water overnight. Strain and dillute that down to the color of a weak tea. Spray the foliage every 2-3 days as needed. For bigger pests like spiders and catepillars you'll want it a bit darker. I mix it pretty strong for indoor use but if you use it outdoors you have to watch out for beneficials.

fly paper works great i must have 100+ stuck on a strip, have around 10 in my backyard for the outdoor... i would mind flys on my plants, but thats just me.. every time there walking on ur plants thats just more fly shit there putting on them, i spray them down once or twice a day now with the hose in the morning and late evening... this will also help build strong plants to help avoid damage from gust of winds
