need more data bro. but they probably arent actually finished drying

essentially, to dry your nuggs, hang them loosely in a dark cool area free of drafts where the humidity is less than 60% but more than 30%, so they should hang for about a week before they get dry.

if they feel dry in less than 7 days, then your humidity is too low, and your temp is probably too high, then if you put em in the jar, they will sweat, and mould.

dont try to dry your nuggs in the bathroom, or laundry room, attic or basement, right by an air conditioner vent, next to a fan, in the sun, etc..

did you hang them upside down in a cool dark place?

how long did they hang before you took them down?

did temp or humidity change while they were hanging?

did you spray them with anything (flavourings, sugarwater solutions, magic potions etc)?

do they feel sticky or papery on the outside?

are they still bright green or are they turning olive drab or brownish?

fill in the blanks homey

so basicly if my bud smells like grass its a done deal, cant do anything..
i read that the smell leaves bud once dried and gains a grass smell once jarred and the smell comes back during the cure ..
is this not true..

The hay and grass smell is from drying to fast and trapping chlorophyll in the buds and not letting it break down.. read that

the grass smell is moisture and chlorophyll. hang them back up for a few days then try to cure it. worst that will happen is you wait a few extra days, and still have bad dope.

edit : or you could listen to dutch oven. me not read good

its not gonna start to stink... start learning about drying and curing and u'll fix that problem... my shit stinks when ever... curing for me refines the smell..

It could also have alot to do with how you flushed and what time you cut. harvesting before the light turns on will prevent your plant from pulling all the stored sugars in the roots to the buds....making it smoother and morpungent... but one simple thing won't make it happen. Its everything from start to finish.. marijuana also increases turpin production when life is drawing to an end
