Ok after many attempts to fix a problem I have had for over the past 6 months still can't find Whts gone wrong. After switch to 12/12 for the second time in the past 6 months all hells broke loose working its way up the plant with severe burn and discolouration . This is Wht I know if it helps. ph of water supply is 7.4 using biobizz soil with bio biz nutes soil ph is about 6.8 and nutes are 5.8 once added to water. Have a moisture meter so not to over feed them and have flushed them a week into flower whn it started there's no signs of critters and no temperature ill regularities humidity is about 50% and I can't see where I am going wrong any advice will be most appreciated. the 5.8 is low. 7.4 is high. So if I am reading correctly, and you feed with nutes every other watering, then the plants is dealing with large fluctutations. I would get everything that goes into her at 6.5.

How big are your pots and how often do you water?

When I went from cfl to led I lost a lot of heat which was a positive but resulted in less water evaporation from the soil. Long story short my normal every three days went to five or six and my plants didn't like it. I had some similar looking stuff happening that I suspect was the roots not taking in the nutrients. I drilled holes in the sides of some pots, switched over to smart pots, added a fan blowing at the pots, etc. All good now.

I am not an expert, fewer than a dozen grows under my belt. So maybe there is something in that you can connect to.

you def have a mobile nute deficiency there. like growindad said keep her nute water at 6.5. She looks hungry. Good luck!

A pic of the whole plant would be useful because it is hard to tell what is really going on from individual leaves, especially in flower when lower fan leaves get consumed by the plant.

I've had one crop go bad in flower because I was using well water that went through a water softener. I had many early crops go bad in flower from following the directions on nutrient bottles. I finally started getting better results when I invested in a TDS/EC meter to measure my nutrient ppm. I'm not familiar with biobizz nutes but I know many nutrient suppliers have mix instructions that are way too high in ppms for mj.

More info please...

There in 11 litre pots(3 gallons )4 week veg 8 week flower I've pulled it right out to check the roots and all looks ok in general the plant looks fine but 1 by 1 the lower fan leaves are being consumed all burnt and yellow . I water them just whn their moist have a moisture meter to check but can be anywhere from 2 to 3 days depends on weather outside if hot can be every two days.

What the best way to adjust ph of nutes whn growing in soil as the nutes I'm using are really acidic.???

It is hard to tell by the pics but have you feed for cal/mag. I know the first 1-3 weeks into flower is when a deficiency will occur. Your description kind of fits also with it starting at the bottom working it's way up. It will get worse if you start trying the wrong solution so weigh all of your choices and make a decision your happy with not what somebody is trying to convince you of. I wouldn't feed every day though because it will cause build up and sometimes the girls just want fresh water. just my 2 cents.

A perfectly healthy plant will consume it's fan leaves in late flower, starting at the bottom and working up. I have no idea if you have a problem or not from the pics and description you've given. If you are 8 weeks into flower, I would not be making any decisions based on what the lower fan leaves are doing. Pic of the whole plant please and you will get better feedback.

Thanks man I only feed every time I water them because I thought not giving them nutes on every water would start up deficiency cause they would be taking more water than nutrients and get deficient. I have tryed many of things and got to a cross roads where I can't get a handle on it hence the reason for the post . Ur inputs be useful thanks again will post pic whn light comes on.

It's definitely not consuming the leaves the way plants do in flower something is definitely wrong have a least 3 years of growing under my belt and the last 2 have done this. Both been indica and both from green house seeds don't know if this is a coincidence or Wht. A the current moment they are in there 4th week of flower will post pic whn light comes on in an hour fir a better look . Thanks for ur input

Toss the moisture meter, and go by weight of pot. Going down a cpl inches doesn't tell you if there's moisture in the root zone. You don't want to continuously feed every watering, you need to stagger your feeding and watering, the plain ph'd water will help to remove salt buildups, and give your plants time to use up nutes still in soil.
That and get your ph up to around 6.8 and you should be fine.

Hi i do lift the pots to see how heavy they are aswell but use the moisture meter to see how much moisture is a few inches into the soil. Dry is 1-2-3 and moist 4-5-6 wet7-8-9 water at 4 just befor being dry. Think in going to try the watering on its own a few times and feed once a week. Wht is the best way to raise ph for soil grow plants or lower cause don't have a clue Wht would be best for soil only hydro. Thanks for ur input will post pic of them all whn light comes on in an hr.

I haven't feed for cal/ mag might be something I might have to add to supplement them as there is not a lot in the nutes I'm using. Thanks again

I would wait til the pots feel light before watering. If you still have moisture at 2 to 3 inches, then the roots are still saturated.
As for the adjusting PH. Do the same as with hydro, mix all your nutrients in container and adjust PH, then water. When i was using soil I always added dolomite lime to my mix, helps to avoid PH problems during grow.

Feed with every watering,I had a similar problem and that fixed it.
I do feed with every watering so I don't think its tht it's a strain hunter seed from( greenhouseseeds.nl) description says can take very high nutrients but at 4 weeks into flower the strength of the nutes are 1.2 ms don't know Wht ppm conversion is if ur from America. So I don't think they are under feed. Thanks for ur input much appreciated

Ok thanks I do mix all my nutrients in a bucket b4 I water. I will give the dolomite lime a try to get the ph of the nutrients right.as I thought they are quiet low just didn't know Wht would raise or lower the ph without affecting the strength of the solutionbetter pics will be up in 30 mins.thanks again

Personally I wouldnt start giving a plant thats 4 weeks into flower just plain water.Flush every now and then yes but ime its when u start to give plain water that the deficiencys start, and imo that should go without saying.
If uv not been giving cal mag then u should start,ul notice a big improvement in ur plants overall health
