100% perlite is fine for a hempy. i do hempy buckets myself using growstones.

i use rapid rooters to start my seeds and once the seedling gets some roots, then i transfer into my hempy.

the hard time with a hempy bucket is right now. a small seedling. once they get some roots, then it becomes easier

Once you have roots, it will be very difficult to over water mate (not impossible though).

I do a couple of full wet/dry cycles (like you would with dirt) at seed and at each pot up. Then I'll look at increasing the number of feeds. Once per day for a while > then up to twice per day > then 3+ times per day etc...

I am yet to root bound a solo cup (soilless) and I've pushed plants to over 2ft tall getting 8 feeds per day in one. I dare say that you'll need to pot up well before it becomes an issue.

100% perlite is a bit tricky with sprouts. Rapid rooters/jiffy pellets work well and should be available at your local hardware. 100% coco I have found works extremely well too. Great for building a tight ass root ball in a solo cup that will explode when she's upgraded to a new home :bigjoint:
