Hi guys I am new here, name is Matt. I am wondering about caregivers. I am a patient and im wondering what should I have coming to me? I understand he has the lighting bill, nuts, his time. But when it comes down to it he has 12 plants that can produce 2.5 or more ounces off each one, Thats 30 ounces. So I dont wanna sound greedy so will someone tell me what sounds fair?
I mean if I was a caregiver I might if I could get the loot to get some lights. Whats fair?

Welcome to RIU :)

Kind of depends which MMJ state you are in, but here in Oregon we take donations for smoke (usually just electricity bills, soil, and nutes) which could be anywhere from free to $50 an ounce or so. What state are you in?

I live in michigan. Right now Im growing my own but im not really sure what im doing. Im using a t5 4ft 4 bulbs with ocean forest soil. But I dont wanna wait for the shit to get done. lol

Never grown under a T5, but most people only use it to veg or clones. If you try to flower with it, you'll find you get airy/fluffy buds. This is because the T5 only shines through the canopy of leaves a few inches, whereas HID lighting can penetrate a few feet down through the canopy, giving you those nice large, thick buds.

Yes, FF OF soil has a lot of nutes in it, and can burn seedlings if they are fragile. I use just straight OF mixed with perlite and my seedlings have only been burnt once, so it depends on strain.

i m a caregiver and give my patients an ounce a month for their card and 250 a z for meds and i think its the goin rate u still have to buy ur meds as ull find out it aint cheap to grow. if u go to work u expect to be paid dont u?

Yes your right there, its not cheap to grow! I need to do something. My caregiver screwed me good, He just keep all the plant lol. and the whole time he was gowing them I had to buy my own buds. Isnt that some bull? Well I changed to grow myself and now have to worry about if I can get a t5 to grow my meds. I really think that if somone grows for me, I shouldnt have to look for smoke EVER!! Maybe pay for half the electric bill every month. I mean if he is doing it already for himself then there is no reason a person cant make sure i have smoke at all times. I smoke about a half a week maybe more if its good and love the taste then more. I guess if I ever get going I would be the coolest caregiver ever. So t5s are crap hey? :( I guess I will have to do with what I got for now.

Here is a question, what if I put lighting underneath the plants when they get bigger? Only other light I have is a 4ft long 2bulb t12. I was going to try fliping this upside down so it shines up at the plants. When I get back to work I would like to get a 250 hps. Just now I hope to get anything I can get. And if anyone in the mean time wanna grow for me I will give them my lighting and my 4 white widows feminized from

don t get me wrong i dont want to get rich but i do want to get some of my expenses paid and help out my patients i havent had a harvest yet i just got heat into my grow room ive been overwintering in the house just got it goin today so we will see how this turns out soon i was just sayin in another thread that lessons are expensive lol you can use cfl lights and they will bud there a little smaller you can get close to an ounce a plantthe t5 will work great for cloning and veg. there is a cfl grow clubhttps://www.rollitup.org/cfl-growing/ on here and and a smaller watt hps on here 2. i cant find a link to that if i run accross it i will post its fun to grow i had a harvest last fall for myself now im gearing up for a niw one i have green crack,o g kush, bomberry,blueberry gonna go in flower room i hope tomorrow still have some work to do in there yet well i guess im ramblin at this point good luck happy farmin
