Has anyone tried growing one of these auto-jobs like a house plant? Ie:sticking it in a south facing window, and let it do it's thing without lighting, just house planting it.......?
just curious as to how they grow....
I have done 2 grows with just sunlight from my living room bay windows which face southwest, but they were not auto's

Pic 1 - my first ever grow was in 2012, plain soil, no nutes and just sunlight.... I just did it for the fun of it and it yielded 18 grams of decent smoke.

Pic 2 - 2013 indoor/sunshine grow was a hempy (Lucus Formula) and yielded 67 grams

you can follow my link for more details

When I grew bubblicious I used 20-4 light. You are going to need more 2-3 times more cfl light to flower that with good potent results. I flowered nice giant buds on my nirvana bubblicious with about 300 actual watts of cfl. I found adding 2 super size 100 actual watt cfl's worked better than adding 8 smaller 23 watt 2700k bulbs. Check these, they are worth every bit of $20 a piece for the end results:
http://www.amazon.com/105-Watt-Lumens-Warranty-FE-IIIB-105W/dp/B002ZPEHZM/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1390406840&sr=8-11&keywords=105+watt+2700k+cfl

Only downfall is these bulbs put out some heat, so make sure your girls don't grow into them.
hey bro, i was curious if you knew of any of these larger wattage cfl's that did NOT put out much heat...i need the extra light, but am in a smaller grow box, and it heats up easily. i posted a help post when i first joined, but i am not getting much help on what i should do... anyway, if you know of any lower heat, higher wattage cfl's i sure would like to know about them...i dont mind payin a few extra bucks if that is a factor. thanks for yr time.:wall:

Lose the tin foil and either buy the proper Mylar or just paint the ENTIRE inside of your box with cheap white paint. Reflectivity is important and anyone will tell you tinfoil will cause hot spots and will burn the plant. Secondly where is your plant? if it is in that tiny planter than the light is way to far to be of any benefit. Study proximity rules. Cfl bulbs have to be right on top of plants 1-2" away, or almost touching at all times. From sprout on up. You will need to adjust your cfl's daily to avoid your plant growing into them. You will also need a small fan inside there for wind resistance besides the intake and outtake fans. Hope this helps.
Tinfoil won't cause hot spots with CFLs :wall: they don't have the intensity of an HID...but I would get some Mylar or paint it flat white just cuz it looks better and it's easier to clean...peace...otherwise Smoke's on the money...

Man, and I thought I had the Gold Medal for "The newbie ghetto grow" but it looks like I'm passing the torch :fire: cuz damn son...lol...you might wanna read up on LSTing and SCROGs, cuz your space is limited big time, and it don't matter how you start while you're learnin'...it just matters where you end up buddy...:bigjoint:

And when i start using fertilizer?
Try starting off with 24/0 for about a week and then reduce it to 20/4. I've never grown autos before but I'd say starting nutrients/fertilizer at around 3 weeks should be good; try using flowering nutrients only with autos as they will flower themselves and you can't be feeding them veg nutes in the flowering period.

20/4 is best for autos
would 18/6 be enough ? i have issues with the electric bill....
also, just wanted to add, i just got my bubblicious seeds from nirvana today, along with a power kush. i am happy with the quick service of attitude seeds. now to see how many of them are actually female and auto! are these auto bubblicious supposed to get very big? and did anyone notice the pink color in their grows?? the pic the vendor uses looks way different then all the plants i have seen of the same strain.

There's been a lot of research that points to a 20/4 light cycle as optimal for autos. 24/0 is just as good for the plants but is harder on the hardware. BigSteve.
