Hello, everyone,

Total noob, here; actually just got into smoking recently and fascinated by the culture and science revolving around growing and smoking. I have been more focused on the consumption aspect, via attempting to make my own pipes and vapes, but I've been thinking of broadening my horizons towards growing. I've got a secluded 5.5' x 4.5' x 7' area in the basement that seems like it was designed for such a purpose. I'll probably be on the sidelines for a while as I develop the space, but as soon as I get going I plan to post progress (and of course ask for help).

This is a great site, and I look forward to picking some brains and basking in the wisdom of veteran growers and smokers alike.

Welcome SixString!

Jillybean is one of my favs.

Def check the stickies in each sub-forum, and be ready to spend some time reading. Lots of good info here.

I'm in New England myself. Small world. :-)

Curious can you purchase beans locally? In my state you can, if not I would recommend not settling for what everyone is growing and branch out beyond TGA. I think you would find Cinderella 99 or C99 to be a great sativa leaner, you can find a thread or 2 here debating who has the best C99. Breeders I would recommend checking out:

Serious Seeds
Dj Short
Spice of Life
Rare Dankness

just a few you'll find plenty of options, here are a few I feel are hit or miss (but gems are there to be found for sure)

Cali Connection
Emerald Triangle Seeds
TGA - pay attention to his crosses almost all consist of either Spacequeen or Jack the Ripper male, thus many of his strains produce similar phenos (space queen phenos)
