@BobBitchen a memeber here, and the most experienced growers seem to love his gear. Can't vouch personally. but reading all the journals and reviews i hope to get a chance to run his chicken dinner and slimmer strains in the not to distant future.
best experience I have had so far have been with captainredbeardseeds.com and is differently geared to new growers. I like his limited catalog as it implies he has worked his lines well to produce extremely stable genetics.
I find a lot of cultivators have a tendency to crossbreed everything they can get their hands on just to push out as much new shit as possible.
If your looking just for cheap beans from a reliable distributor north Atlantic seed Bank has a rotating $2 and $5 menu

Man, there's so many seed banks out there now. I've had good and bad luck with all of them ... Ethos, Graybeard, Seedsman, NukeHeads, Pacific, CropKings, FireTree Market, this plant has been crossbreed so many times, you can pretty much throw a dart and get a good pheno.... or a bad one.
But prob the best luck I've had was with Ethos Genetics.

If you’re in a humid area I’d seek out breeders that work in a similar climate, especially if outdoor. IME(mostly from veggie/herb garden)pests seem like stuff that comes from a different climate.

See this is what I'm talking about. Anything that's gained any acclaime in the commercial legal market is gonna be fire its just a matter of what your looking for Hi yeild/effect/terps/rosin production/ext also a reason I prefer feminized they are far more uniform(less variation) you got a much better idea of what your finish product is gonna be like the moment you pop a bean. I get the idea of the fun being in the pheno hunt but there are so many tried and true strains out there I'll never run out of new(to me) ones to grow. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes so no matter how good a breeder/distributors reputation is f ups happen and when your dealing with living things you can never garentee genetic expression with out paying out the ass for lab work

Man.. I have documented proof that phenos are not just luck. They're just bad seeds. It's in my journal, and I can't remember the strain.. maybe Early Lemon Berry... but I took 10 clones from 10 different mothers. ALL of the clones from mother #5 died on the vine in week 3 of flower. All her sisters did fine and finished well. They were sitting right next to each other among 78 or so other plants, and ALL of #5 died. Same PH at the root zone, same feed, etc. It's real science.
