Hello everyone, first time grower. Could use some help.

hey everyone, so i ended up running into a bit of extra money and since i have my medical card i figure i want to start growing. The room is a 10x10 room in a garage. It has one window. My budget is in the $2200 range. Any suggestions? I was sort of thinking 2 4x4 tents-one veg/one flower-. I have been reading as much as possible, but i would love to have some feedback or suggestions to lead me the right way. thanks

that sounds great. the only suggestion i can give you is if this is your first grow, then dont bite off more than you can chew. i would go small to medium for my first grow and then work up from there. you could get a small tent and grow a few plants from seed to flower and then later on maybe get larger tents and use the small one to hold a few mothers. i find the more i plan in advance, the fewer problems i have in the long run.

honestly, you dont need a huge big tent for veggin...you can make a nice compact growbox, not only saving space but money as well (can be built for under 100 bucks)...you can use the extra money and maybe kick in on the higher dollar LED panels (ive heard they grow wonders), or even just a bigger HID for flowerin...plus, nutrients arent cheap and you can never have too many...not to mention just spare parts (if goin hydro), extra airpumps, water pumps...trust me, you'll thank yourself when you experience your first pump failure lol...what kinda set up you thinkin bout doin? aero, DWC, soil...?

i havent decided on the system yet, im considering both hydro and soil. At this point maybe leaning more to hydro. Ive been looking at an ebb and grow kits, but have heard mixed reviews on them. any input?

thats what im using...and its wonderful, very easy to use...the cons, the roots all grow together in the flood table so its hard to reposition them, if at all possible...another thing, if youre growing mixed strains, you might always have one or the other a lil more sick/vigorous than the others since diff strains take diff nute amounts...my reservior wasnt covered so had plenty of algae growth (though it was never an inhibitor to my plants health, just looks nasty lol)...im switchin to DWC next to see how that pans out...but you cant go wrong w/flood n drain at all
