Heavenbright Mini Mo Thread

Hey guys I want to start a dedicated thread for Heavenbright and my experience current and future. I'm a long time lurker and I recently got interested in supplementing my grow with cobs so I did a fare amount of research and and decided to give Heavenbright a try. After a few phone calls with Jacob I pulled the trigger on 2 units. I paid $360 a unit including FedEx shipping. I received no discount. He sent my first unit out the following day. The second unit was sent out a few days later because of a driver issue. He did not have a dimmable driver for the second fixture so I had him set it at 75 watts per cob. When he receives a dimmable HLG 240H 42B he will either install himself or walf me through the process. I hung my first fixture without taking unboxing photo's but I receive my second mini mo tonight so I will do a proper unboxing. The lights will be in my 5x5, I have a 1000 watt digilux and a solid Tek ballast, I also have a Truth M6 and 2 DS XTE 100'S currently but I plan on reconfiguring my space (any ideas?) I have 4 Ghost Train Haze in 15 gallon squat pots in Clackamas Coots mix. The plant have been mainlined for 16 tops and they were vegged for 2 months and in the 3rd week of flower (this is my second grow). Here are specs from the website and a few pics I took last night.

Bonjour
Have you ever thinking about scrog to get 17 tops with only 8 pairs of branches? And no topping at all in 5 weeks vegg!? (Just training pinching and bending)
You will save weeks of vegg for the same results!
It ask more work from you instead of top her all the time to let the secondary grow but the gain of time is huge!

Thank you, @HATORI HANZO, for taking the time to create a dedicated thread for us! Your girls are really gonna pop under those CXB3590's!

As for the driver issue, there haven't been a whole bunch of HLG 240H 42B's in stock lately due to the Chinese New Year but that will change in the coming weeks as more shipments are made and shipped from China. From this shortage came the idea of offering custom orders to customers like yourself, such as using a HLG-185H or HLG-150H driver for the Mini Mo' cobs. Many farmers grow in tighter spaces and may not need to run their cobs at currents higher than 2.5A, so by opting to utilize those smaller drivers will offer the max outputs necessary for select growers and subsequently reduce their initial costs of buying a new Mini Mo'.

Hey guys, pics as promised. I don't know much about dyi but this light looks pretty well put together. The case is not the best quality but as far as I can tell the construction of the fixture is pretty good. Everything is clean and looks very well assembled. @littejacob I like growing bigger plants and have no desire to scrog my big tent, I have a 2x2.5 for that. I decided to run both cobs at full strength and remove the Truth M6 for now, I'm still undecided about removing the DS XTE's. With the 2 cobs and the 1000 I'll have 60 watts per square foot or 65 with the DS's.

@HATORI HANZO

I noticed some debris on the lenses. The best thing I've come across for cleaning both optics and the LES of a cob is a cotton swab or q-tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol. Walgreens carries it for cheap.
The debris are from my couch, I took care of it. As I've stated before I'm not a dyi kinda guy but I do really love some of the builds around here so I asked AP if he could do custom work and he said yes.

I didn't weigh then so I can't give you an accurate answer. My canopy temp is about 80 with all the lights on. The cobs run pretty cool and I expect no less than 2 pounds. They are not stretching like I expected so I don't think I will pull 3lbs. I temped all the fixtures in my tent. The cobs run at 107, the 6in blockbuster with the 1000 is 86 and the advanced units are running at 88. Canopy temps are at 72 with the cobs at 20 inches, the advanced at 18 inches ant the hid at 32 inches. I raised the lights because my leaves are getting a bit twisted up.

You can grow MINSTER plants in a a Scrog setup. Scrog is a great idea, for any light. All it does is benefit you. You trim off the smaller branches and bring up whatever branches can get up there to get the most light to them for the largest buds
