Heatsink Question

Folks,

I'm looking to cool some cobs passively in an upcoming build, and I'm struggling to find the pin style heatsinks locally in Canada.

I came across a shop that makes the bar style heatsink extrusions, I was wondering if I could take a piece and get them to cut out circles to match the diameter appropriate for the watts per cob.

The idea would be to use the same base thickness and fin height, or even a bit more to make up for the extra surface area the pin style has.

I'm hoping someone with experience here might be able to say it's an idea worth exploring, or back to the drawing board :bigjoint:

I'm trying to see if I can get something a little closer to home. Shipping costs are pretty significant.

Appreciate it!
No problem bro I traded off heat sink usa parts to go with the pins, I knew I'd end up changing later on so did it before building the lights. It took a bit for me to snag them finally in the configuration I needed as well but I did with NGL.

Good Luck! (:

why don't you just cut them like a square if you now that it will be ok for passive probaley be easier to build with I think
