Heat stress already?!?

Hey RIU,
So I have a cherry bomb in a pot outdoors and this afternoon I went out to check on her and all her leaves were full on canoes!
It was only 23 degrees celsius! Winds are gusting between 11 and 17 kph, rh of around 65%.
I did some research and everything said that cherry bomb is a cool weather strain. Anyone have much experience growing cherry bomb?
Given that summers here in southern Southern Ontario get to way over 30 celsius, with some days in August getting up near 40 and rh between 80 and 90% average I'm starting to think maybe I should start bringing her indoors for a dark period and flower her.
What do you guys think? I have some time to think about it, they're forecasting 5 days of rain starting tonight.
(23C is 73f, 30C is 86f, and 11 to 17 kph is 7 to 10 mph for Americans)

Be easier to give advice if you posted photos.

But 86f isn't very hot at all, and in my experience the Bomb Seeds strains aren't the most finicky.

The wind is interesting to note. Look up "wind burn", it exhibits symptoms very similar to heat stress and it's possible that could be what the issue is.

How big is the plant? Is it in ground or in a pot? If it is in a pot, what size?

Could possibly be under-watering them, especially if they're in the ground. In my experience it's pretty difficult to overwater plants outdoors in the summer time. The only exception is if the plant is a new transplant. How often are you watering? And how much?

In a pot, not really sure what size, about 35cm across and the same deep, guess that's about 14 inches. I bottom water them twice a day, fill the reservoir at the bottom of the pot and let capillary action bring it up. They never droop except at night, and the soil never quite dries out but it gets close. I water them a bit more than my hot peppers if that helps. I did think it was a bit weird that the cherry bomb would get heat stress when the hindu kush didn't.
Wind burn makes a bit more sense since the cb is slightly more exposed during the day, but it didn't improve when I moved it to a sheltered spot. The plant is about 75 cm tall, (maybe 2 1/2 feet?). Has huge indica leaves but they're sparse, like a sativa. Now that it's getting a bit more light it's starting to fill out more.

This is one of three cherry bomb grown in Ont Canada last year. They went out first week of May and were pulled first week of Oct. Couple lbs off each one I decent flower. They were hassle free plants that all looked the same. Very stable strain would have done better had I had a little better afternoon sun. But as far as temps and wind they tolerated everything with ease. I fed them botanicare grow pro and bloom with liquid karma and cal mag at 1/2 strength throughout the entire grow every feeding and never any issues with under or over feeding. Anyways its a decent strain u should see some pink or red to your flowers in the fall.

If you get concerned about moisture issues in ontario I use Green Cure at the onset of flowering for prevention every 7-10 days at 3/4 recommended strength had probably less than 5% loss last year going into second week with some strains in northern Ontario.

Ezylyfe, does Green Cure work to prevent or cure powdery mildew? I think I may be getting a pm infection, I'll post pics if you want, but I'm pretty sure. And where do they sell it aside from amazon?
I shifted her to flower since her roots started to poke above the surface, and the only nutes I have are bloom nutes, so I probably won't be seeing the purple, mores the pity.
I did see red that rapidly disappeared as the new leaves formed, and some of the bloom leaves start out pretty red. I'm liking the strain despite the excessive nervousness that comes with growing one that's new to me.

It treats PM on first application. I brought in on Amazon.com has to be American website. I used at first for treating my problem now I use Green Cure right from onset so the flowers can grow around the application since rot starts at the stem and works its way out. It's great product can extend your season that extra week in Oct when RH is 100% every morning heavy dense fogs are as bad as rain for creating rot. Give it try Jim I'll bet your happy guy when Oct comes.

And Cherry bomb was a good strain to grow but with so many out there I think there is better for me. I'm still smoking from last year's outdoor and the cherry is what I reach for first in the am nice smoke to start day not to strong not to weak no sleepy but feel calm and focused. Flavour is smooth I don't taste cherry but has a cherry chemical smell.

I had some canoeing issues with some feminized seeds I'm running outdoors early on. It was due in part to some heavy rains. Also had a wind whipping day as well.

After my pots dried out they self corrected. I can't stress enough that hovering over your plants will drive you crazy. A lot of times the issue is the grower. Leave them alone and just let them grow. The less you do, they better. Lay off the water and nutrients.

Haven't watered my plants in 12 days. Just had 3 days of 85-90 temps in direct sun and still don't need water.

I don't even know if "heat stress" is a real thing. I've seen people burn leaves indoors with lights too close but outdoors plants love dry, hot days with full sun.

I would do nothing. You dumping stuff on them your gonna make it worse.
