Heat issues; >83 inside grow tent

So I have a 4x4x6.5 spider farmer grow tent with an SF4000 as my light. Plants are in middle of week 3 of flower and the light is 18” from top of canopy set at 80% light intensity. I have an AC infinity cloudline T6 attached to 6” carbon filter. I also have one 6” oscillating fan above the canopy and another 6” oscillating fan on the floor. In addition, I’ve placed another 6” fan above the light to fan the drivers and have that light specifically on a timer to only come on when the light is on. (I’ve pointed the fan above the light to blow towards the carbon filter in hopes it’ll direct the hot air out of the tent). I also have another 24” fan that I can sitting close to my bedroom door, with a duct sitting in front of it and going into the tent…HOWEVER, my temps inside my tent are steadily 82-83 degress (because that’s what I have the Cloudline fan set to as a threshold, but I can’t seem to keep it below that. My temps inside the house are a cool 76 everyday and dip a little lower in the nighttime. Also have a tower humidifier that keeps my humidity between 45-55%. Do I need a better intake fan? Should I extract the hot air coming from the tent into my garage via cutting out a hole and using spigot plates? I really don’t want to start cutting holes in walls to grow some weed tbh lol but I guess I’m open to anything if my plants stay happy and healthy! Any ideas or advice is welcome, thank you all!

I am running pretty close to the same temperature as well. I have mostly sativas NLD (narrow leaf) and they seem fine. If you have lots of airflow and 50%ish humidity, you should be good.

If you are not seeing any issues, do nothing.

They will get a lot bigger so plan on the increase of humidity.

Thanks for the info. I have both a sativa dominant hybrid and an indica dominant. They don’t seem too affected, they’re actually impressing me (it’s my first grow lol) but I just want to make sure I’m not flirting with disaster)

I'm glad to see someone else with a similar setup as me :D I also recycle the air, the tent is in a room where i spend time, exactly the same temperature both in the house and tent. That temperature is optimal. You may need a bit cooler temps in the late flowering stage and drying of course, but for now you have nothing to worry about.

Can the drivers be removed from the light? That could drop few degrees F.
And yes, if you don't intend on exhausting outside you can cut the ducting to remove that angle. But i think that would be a waste, you might decide to exhaust through a window or something. If i were you i would place a basket or a hydroponics pot on top of the tent. Upside down, ducting inside. It will keep the ducting straight up and still allow airflow. That's what i did before, but then i just removed all the ducting eventually.

From my experience the exhaust fan was not enough to compete with the heat of the lights, I suggest getting a mini ac unit.

I ended up cutting out that additional 90 degree angle and so far I’ve maintained temps of 80 degrees today. I live in the desert, where temps are exceeding 90 degrees in the coming days and only up from there lol. So I don’t want to open any windows as it will do more damage as far as raising over temp in room/side of house. I’m hoping cutting out that 90 angle will do the trick. I also upped the fan speed of the exhaust fan from 6 to 8, 10 being maxed up. There is definitely negative pressure in the tent. I don’t quite get the basket thing though?

It's too late now since you cut it, but this is what i had in mind. Please don't laugh at my highly skilled paint drawing haha :D
I did this before, it was exactly the same like your setup. Long ducting just flapping on top of the tent, making an unnecessary 90 degree angle. I was hesitant to cut it because i thought i might need it, so i just compacted the ducting and covered with a basket on top to keep it in place. Ducting stays straight up without an angle and still has airflow. But eventually i removed the ducting altogether, don't need it anymore.

Gotcha! That would’ve worked too I suppose! How come you don’t need ducting anymore? How are you removed the hot and stale air?

You should be getting that warm air out of the room completely, if you don't want to do that then the below steps can be undertaken first.

I wouldn't be worried about 82,83,84,85,86 degrees.

You do have an unnecessary amount of circulation fans all adding heat. Watts are heat.
You also have the option to mount the drivers remotely if needed.

Edit, oh yeah , lights on at night and off in the warmest part of the day

Not everyone is cool with cutting. I have random lengths of 6", 8", and 10" laying around from my various configurations.

When I had a tent at times I was able to have the carbon filter directly attached to the inlet of the fan, a silencer attached directly to the outlet of the fan, and the silencer directly attached to the tent's port. That eliminated ducting all together. However, that will only work if you have the head space. In that picture it looks like you have a port on the side towards the top. Maybe you can have the filter directly on the fan (you already do) and the fan directly to the port.

The other thing is to make sure your measuring your air temp in the right place. Just to be sure.

82-83 is fine with LEDs. I bet the air in your room is reach 83 and you are just recycling the same stuff put a thermometer in the tent room and see if you need to get some cooler air in. But I wouldn't worry a bunch of it's stable at 82-83 if it's spiking to 90+ then I'd worry.

I don't exhaust outside, i recycle the air in the room and i control the temps with my inverter AC unit, and using a dehumidifier to remove moisture. Occasionally opening the windows, few times a day. I spend time in the grow room so i don't need additional CO2.
I just placed the exhaust fan straight into the vent hole in the tent, attached the carbon filter and that's it, no ducting. Maybe i would add a short piece of ducting just to go easier through the vent hole, but currently it's without.

I have the Migro Aray light and it runs extremely cool. Even after hours of working, the light is only warm at the touch, not hot.
Ambient temp of the lung room is 25c, temps inside the tent is 27-28c. The light is on max wattage, the exhaust fan is on lowest speed,

In comparison, my previous Mars Hydro TSL2000 would heat up my tent from 20c to 30c just in 10 minutes, even with the exhaust fan on medium speed and the drivers outside the tent. And the light was extremely hot on touch, like a toaster. It smelled like burning electronics on max wattage.

From then on i stay away from those lights, so far the Migro Aray is the coolest running light in my experience, although i haven't tried many.
