Hi,

The temp in my basement growroom is a little too low. I am currently using CFL's and will switch to a 600w HPS on Monday. Will the heat from this help bring the temp up in the room

Day temp - 21c
Night Temp - 17c

Thanks

Yeah it will, more than definately, keep that at least 18 inches away from the top of your plant though otherwise you will cook your plant

Not only will it help but depending on the size of your grow room you'll be back asking how to exhaust the extra heat. It's all good though!
Peace

so i have an exhausted hood for my 600w. when my room gets to hot i hook the duct to the hood. when it gets to cold i unhook the duct at the hood and move it around to different areas to use as heat control. like a little heat vacuum. the other end of the duct is attached to my exhaust fan. the closer i hang it to the light the more heat it pulls off and the cooler the room is. the further away from the light i hang it the warmer the room gets.
