Heat flucuation?

SO i've had these babies for about two weeks... They arent doing anything. Granted my dumbass fertilized them... THe middle one looks fine but the others might kick the bucket here soon. I have extreme temperature flucuations. 69-85. Daily. Could this cause a stunt? Could that be why they're messing up? Why is the middle one okay?

Well you have them in clear cups it looks like for one . You dont want light on your roots . The middle one is okay probaly because the outer ones block the light somewhat and the outer ones are insulating the soil in the middle one .Low soil temps = slow growth .

Set them inside of regular solo cups or tranplant to solo cups and if your continuing with this setup you should figure a way to keep some warmth in all of them at night .Mabey buy a styrofoam cooler and cut the sides down to the height of the cups and set them inside of the cooler .

you are correct sir, in the fact that cold soil will hinder growth, but i do not believe a low of 69 will cause this. i think its because he used the ferts so early. I grow in Ak obviously and in an unheated walk in closet that can get down to as low as 50 at night, and be around 67 to 75 during the day. I could be affected by slower growth and not know it because ive always grown in these conditions.

Adding nute too early not too sure about that . But why is the one in the middle not affected. Hell I fertilized mine at 14 days they took off .
Oh okay just read back he ferted in under 14 days yeah kinda early ! I,d do what i said though and try it atleast cause that one in the middle being fine is a good indicator .Probaly a combo of both .But thats just my 2 cents .

(edit) Hell i didn,t notice earlier the middle one is in a peat pot and its bigger .Bigger pot has more soil to insulate the root zone. Just another factor to consider .

my light schedule is 18/6. its hot where i live so i shut my light off at 12 pm and back on at 6 pm. It gets cold during that time. I think I'm going to put my ventilation on a timer with the light. The plant in the middle is also a lot older than those other plants. Teh middle plant is a cloned bagseed. The rest are kush seedlings. =[ I'm going to transplant them and hupefully something will happen.

They are starving, and in desperate need of nitrogen. Whaty was the PH of whatever you fed them? They look PH-locked, to me. Also, as mentioned, they need to be in dark containers, or the roots won't spread and fill the entire cup. That could be another reason they're hungry. Did you flush them with plain water, after the feeding? PH of that water? They might even need a VERY light dose of fert, if you flushed 'em too well, because it could've stripped the soil of nutes.

Its possible the middle one is doing good simply bcuz it is directly under light? what light r u using? how far away? if these have all been under the same seating arrangement this whole time.. the continuous lack of light to outer plants could be possible.
There are too many factors we need more info. Are these all same strain? seeds or clones? bagseed?
My temps hit 80s evry day..with humity under control and fresh air it is no problem.. and further since u aint even flowring the RH is irrelevant. Your problem is very unlikely todo with heat

from my understanding even growing in ak that the plant will become acustom to the growing conditions you set for it and do just as well if it was grown in the tropics. i personaly feel that temps only affect the plant when it is below 50 and above 100 for extended periods of time. everything i have read it is a very tolerable plant and can handle very wide range of conditions. it could be air movement also that affects the growth. a little more info on the set up might be more helpful with his problems. but the clear cups could be the root of it all. pun intended

btw u should go ahead and nute tem now.. like above member pointed out..the outer ones need N. Start very little..1/6th strength.. go ahead nute the middle one too..with maybe 1/4 strengh..the leaf tips r startin to get def..but only slightly.
Neways ur plants should b fine.. it seems the outer ones looklike seed but middle plant is clone?

^Agreed. 69* to 85* is my normal temp range(usually), always has been, and they do great, unless I happen to fuck something else up.

Thank you all for this information. I'm transplanting them tomorrow. And the flushing too much may have been a problem too because i did flush the shit out of them when i doung out that what i did was wrong. I used spring water in gallon jugs from walmart, so i know it's neutral. And the fert is plain miracle grow for veg. It was just a quick fix becuase the middle one was dying when i first got it (its a clone). I have 3 bagseed seedlings and 4 kush seedlings. Lets see if you can point them out. =] and I'm using a 400wMH with a 400cfm ventilator and i always have a little desk fan blowing them on high. They were about 8 or 10 inches away but I recently moved it to 12-14 because I was scared! In about a week after my plants get used to the new pots I'll give an update. Thanks for all the help.

with MG usually PH isnt a problem.. unlike FF users.. IMO just flush.. till PH runoff is ideal..
Then as mentioned B4, ur gonna want to get em a lil nute

I think my problems were mainly light getting to the cups. I read up a little more and the roots start photosynthesizing when lgiht hits them. Weird shit. I had duct tape on the outside to minimize the light getting through, I guess it didnt work. Anyways, i transplanted them into 10'' pots with some added vermiculite to help over/under watering. It's week one into the pots and they already look 1000x better. Take a look for yourself. I'll label them too.

1: Group
2: Master Kush
3: Master Kush
4: Bagseed
5: Master Kush
6: Master Kush
7: Mature bagseed clone, LST
8: Master Kush

Hmm.. I think I left one out... But if you look at the last one you can see that it's not as big as the other ones that are actually smaller. Any reason for this? It could be that it's a little older and was in the plastic cups longer? Does it say anything as far as male or female? I hear the females tend to be smaller and bushier as where the males are tall and have less nodes. Anything backing this up?

/bump

Also I was curious. The whole stunt thing set me back a few weeks i guess you could say. So When should I flower? I have about 5 ft of vertical grow space, of which only 4 or so could actually be plants. I hear plants tend to double or even triple in height by the time flowering is done. So then.. when they're about 1ft tall?

nice grow brother, i stunted my plants to man. i transplanted them from shitty soil to some ffof with added perlite and they seem to be doing alot better but im still waiting for the growth to come back
