Two things to keep in mind... smokeing weed will reduce your heart rate, but at the same time expand the veins around the heart, to end with about zero net gain or loss over previous performance...

I suspect panic or indigestion.

ha i highly doubt its panic attacks, simply because other than my chest pain, i have no nervous feeling or fast beat. and im a pretty damn un nervous person...i dunno why but really not much about anything makes me nervous or anxious... maybe im just high all the time !!! :)

thats cuss our body is the shit and stuff. LMAO sorry i'm useally not this stupid i'm laffing at myself.....

point is: you get high cuss ur body is rewarding you for doing somthing good. Its up to you whether or not you think Pot is tricking your brain to reward you or if your body likes weed for sum reason.............

i kno certain receptors on your brain are activated by THC, thus u get high. I wonder why those receptors would react to it at all if it wasn't good for you sumhow....

If it is jsut that feeling like you had a sudden fright... ignore it...

It is probably just a byproduct of the persecution we live under...

I think 99% of the physcological problems are casued by this...

you should really go to the doctor for medical advice...not a buch of pot heads.....

just a thought:joint::mrgreen:
That's probably a good idea. I'm not saying that I agree with the pot heads crack...

I'm going to hazard a guess here and say that it's possible you might have a minor lung infection. You say you had asthma but 'grew out of it'. You never really grow out of asthma. Your lungs grow a little stronger with exercise, and you also sub-consciously learn to live with asthma as you get older. That's basically why your attacks ease off as you progress into adulthood. But you are still asthmatic all of your life. Whatever it is that triggers your asthma will still affect you whether you're 8, 18 or 80... just in different degrees depending upon your overall health at the time. Being an asthmatic, your lungs will already be susceptible to infections, and smoking canabis (especially when coupled with tobacco) can lower your immune system. These things combined make it pretty easy for the bacteria to get in and cause problems. Get yourself checked out and make sure you take good care of your lungs. Every little cold can potentially cause damage. It might not seem to pose too much of a problem at the moment, but lung damage is cumulative... in other words, it doesn't heal.

Having said that, I find that canabis helps my asthma greatly. That's one of the major reasons I use it. That doesn't sound like it can make sense, considering that smoke is supposed to make asthma worse... but it does.

funny but apparently not true. better info than he probably would have received running to the ER. just to wait and be sent home to go to the doctor in the morning. and he would have had to pay for the wait and the info at the ER.

who knows take to aspirin and call the doc. not me. lol

Hey guys, too be honest i really don't think my problem is from weed but i've seen other people here with similar problems.

Its happened about 4-10 times now. I'll be just sitting around, standing, what ever... and all of the sudden with a new breath my left chest gets the most intense, sharp, "stabbing" pain . I can't breathe and i have to take tiny "quarter" breathes for 1-2 minutes. then it goes away as suddenly as it hit.
- I can't move when it happens (cause i cant breathe), it feels as though i am passing a damn knife through my heart or left lung.

I am not sure if its a heart attack (god i hope not) cause im only 18 and im pretty darn healthy. Ride 50 miles every week on my bike, don't eat bad foods often, and i skateboard every day.

The reason im on this site as apposed to calling 911, is that as i can remember, at least the last 2 times it has happened while high.... although it killed my high completely. so i am not sure if its from weed....
please share your thoughts and thanks for reading :)
Yo bro, sounds like angina to me. I'm a fecking gym rat and I've got a stent implant. If it happens more frequently or intense when cold, you got angina and should go to the doctor as soon as you can.

What I will tell u for sure is that its definitely not a heart attack. Im 100% positive of that, so u can stop worrying about that. That goes for the symptom alone but the fact of ur age and ur health, which sounds great. If u had bad heart problems, there is no way u could do the things that u say u do. Also the fact that u are so young, doctors dont consider that u have any more natural heart attack risk until ur over age 40-50. And marijuana for damn sure will not cause a heart attack. Im guessing u read the report that linked marijuana with heart attacks. That report was supposed to be taken with a grain of salt, and it was exposed. Other doctors agreed that even for ppl with a heart attack risk, marijuana only upped the risk times 2 (at the most) for the first hour. I worried about having a heart attack with weed too, but it was just my bad anxiety and panic attacks, which can actually cause a lot of symptoms that u would never expect. So u can stop stressing about that.

Im not sure what ur having is. I never had that before. If ur really worried about it, just go to the doctors and tell them exactly what ur symptoms are (u can skip the marijuana smoking part if u want if that matters). I will tell u that what u have is most likely not serious at all, so dont worry about it. Just wait until u get to the doctors. I researched this stuff a lot and actually went to doctors and even special heart doctors becuz I was so paranoid. I got tons of tests done (few EKGs, Echocardiagram, holtor 24 hr monitor, etc.) and it turns out that I had absolutely nothing...lol. What I have is pretty much all related to anxiety, and I had no idea anxiety could make me think I was that sick. But u should check with a doctor just in case, it doesnt sound serious though.
